my 1080 cards have lower profit margins than some of the others, due to the memory used. my 1070ti mines more than the 1080 - go figure.

They make about $10Au a day between them in my VR system, which would normally sit idle.

I'm with isaac above me: the ad is fine. use it or dont... but holy crap that bright orange is eyeball hurting over such a large area.
Hi,
Well that is nearly 8.00 usd on your 1070ti & 1080 on 10 aud, so you must not be using nicehash or nicehash is using current day currancy value when it showed 3.50 usd per day for both my 1080ti & 10900k on what ever default setup nicehash uses.

I don't see your two cards there doing better than a 1080ti and titan Xp would.

Six pages of pissing and moaning for this??

Holy shit. I haven't seen such a tragedy since Starbucks was out of sugar-free vanilla.
If your monitor was a little wider, you'd see the same ads on 3 of the 4 sides of the page along with the vibrant orange background. Honestly, it's a bit excessive.

Apparently the 5k displays mean more room for ads.

I would be happy with something that decimates my GTX 980.

Unfortunately I am not willing to pay the premium, so its the back of the bus for me.

I have a 1660 Super. Mind if I join you in the back? :toast:

It's a nice card for the resolution I play at (1080p 144-165hz) but only has 6GB, and I'd feel more comfy with 8GB. Plus, my monitor has Freesync 2 HDR, but it's also not "G-Sync Compatible" so there's that. Hell, even used 5700XT's are going for crazy prices these days!

Maybe the next version of MacOS will allow resizable winodows.
That's a screenshot of the browser in a window in the center of my screen. After scaling that's probably about 1440p. It looks far worse when it takes up the entire screen.

lexluthermiester - how did You get the darker orange background? Mine still stays in piss-orange.
uBlock Origin, manually blocking the ad elements. I'm not sure why it changes to the darker colour of orange. Maybe an effect of my Dark Reader extension?

I know - I was just giving you a hard time. :) You're right. Full screen 1440p (100%) is like your first post.

It looks like the site renders to 1080p so the content stays the same size even if you reduce the size of the window to get rid of the great orange wall. :D

Was a bit annoying at first, but you get used to ignore it even without adblocker. Actually, I start to like it now.

I particularly like the different shades of orange between the inner box and the outer background color.

Remove one CSS class in one place and a single HTML tag in another and it practically looks normal.
Edit: I bet someone could write a chrome plugin for this. ;)

All the hate over something so simple, and the petty attacks on W1zzard as if he isn't human.... Smh

I get that some may be upset, but idle threats and all this madness will pass, and every single one of you complaining will still be at TPU when the ad is gone until the next one that ruffles feathers hits.

Im not saying you cannot have feeling and emotions. Just that W1zzard is not your mother, and should be shown massive amounts of respect for what he does rather than all of this pettiness.
While I don't think this is directed at me, I'm going to address it.

The objections and disdain for the ad in question is just that, contention with the choice of ad. This is not a form of disrespect to W1zzard on any level, only a well intentioned yet stern objection to an ad which is very offensive and even insulting to many. Pretty much anything else could have been put there instead and I'd have no problem with it. But cryptomining is having a very real and very harmful effect on an entire sector of the PC industry and supporting such is completely unacceptable, especially from a site in that industry who knows full well the damage that is being caused...

Yes, business is business. However, sometimes business owners need to stop and think about what is right and correct for the community they're a part of and take a stand against that which is causing harm.

My response to that is, 'So what?'

Those complaining the loudest don't even bother to spend $0.14/day to support the site that also magically removes these ads.

If the result is the whiners leave and never come back it's a win-win for me. :rockout:

I'm certainly not in the market for a new one, I'm happy to continue driving my current vehicle until it dies.
I'm also happy it doesn't have online connectivity so they can't force a firmware update to cobble it's performance and I am able to drive the way I want to drive.

Hi,
Not likely there is a nicecoin calculator

Possibly, you could have both cards in one system to cut down power consumption.
