I can see it, its a 4g card for sure

I've seen sapphire cards with same issue that reflashing the same bios that came on card corrected the issue. We will try it. You must follow directions carefully

Download ati/amdvbflash flash 2.93

If you can't find 2.93, Go here https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-atiflash/

Then look for Version 4.68, underneath 4.68 you will see a link to show older version, click that and you should see version 2.93

Follow these steps carefully:

1. Open your "C:" drive in Windows, create a new folder, call it atiflash.

2. Extract the contents of atiflash_293.zip to the "C:\atiflash" folder

3. Find the bios file you downloaded and rename the bios file to biosname.rom

(Biosname.rom is just an example, change it to match your card model in 5 characters with .rom on end)

4. Move biosname.rom to the "C:\atiflash" folder

5. Open the start menu, type cmd, when cmd.exe appears right click it and hit "Run as administrator"

6. At the command prompt type in cd\ and press enter until only C:\> is on the screen.

7. Type in cd/atiflash and press enter, you should see C:\atiflash>

7a At C:\atiflash> type in amdvbflash.exe -i to know what number your gpu is (0, 1, or 2)

8. At the C:\atiflash> prompt type in
amdvbflash.exe -unlockrom 0 (or 1 or 2)
(there is a space between the e and -unlockrom and 0)(0 is the number zero)
press enter and you will be prompted that the "ROM Unlocked"

9. At the C:\atiflash> prompt type in
amdvbflash.exe -f -p 0 biosname.rom
(there is a space between the .exe and -f, and a space between -f and -p and 0)press enter. (Or 1 or 2)

Follow directions on screen and if flash is successful exit the command prompt and restart, windows should show up on screen.

Hold up. I think there's a language barrier and we're reading the problem wrong.

He said his computer is acting crazy and he can't access his BIOS, has a blank screen on startup. So I think maybe the problem is he can't get to the menu to boot from a USB or different partition to do a restore? I've seen this before where there's a m2 drive and fast boot options are all on. Startup is so quick you can't get to anything.

I think we need a little more info here. The video card may not be the problem. What kind of PC and motherboard are we looking at? Pretty sure I see a MSI logo.

Can OP post a board model number, or run CPU-Z to get the info? Also, another question for OP, what is the end goal here? Are you trying to factory default your PC?

As a temporary workaround until this is solved, you could boot with the 1050, enable CSM on the board, then put the 580 back in to access BIOS.

Every Gigabyte rx 580 BIOS seems to be based on the same base rom, so any broken UEFI is going to present in all of them. Looking around on the forum, this seems to be an oddly common problem on the 580 cards.

UPDATE:

Here's that same BIOS with the latest compatible GOP driver inserted into the EFI. I have absolutely no way to test this, so make sure you have a method to recover if the flash goes bad. That said, the legacy portion of the bios wasn't modified, so it really shouldn't have any problems that don't already exist in the original.

This is a common issue with non-UEFI graphics cards, when you update a modern motherboards BIOS to support windows 11 it forces UEFI mode on.

Modded BIOSes for older AMD cards (commonly used for mining) disabled UEFI.

His gigabyte card seems to have a bios with non functioning uefi support from the factory. I found a few threads on it while looking around online. Hoping the one I modded for him will fix that.
