A couple of stuff arrived, a Linkup PCIe Gen4 x16 riser that I've been advised to get as others might result in WHEA and other errors, been told this is the best.

Also got my angled/vertical mount/bracket, so I should be set to upgrade my main rig, plus build my 2nd rig....

Got a set of powered speakers Prosonic BT30. Overall I'm happy with them especially relative to their size though treble is one area I'd say is lacking somewhat while the bass does exceedingly well relative to what I'd expect for speakers this size with a 4" cone. Their pretty good with some EQ correction though. Their plenty loud for a small room and the bass doesn't underwhelm.

Why Farscape?
Why not? I love that series! I have the whole collection right up to the series finale, The Peacekeeper Wars. This, and Babylon 5, for me, trumps all Star Trek main and offshoot series (though I'm a fan of them, I ain't a Trekkie).....except for, perhaps, Enterprise which I love to death!.

Edit - @A Computer Guy Don't mind my asking, where didcha score that Lamptron screen from?

I've almost bought a PS5 four times now because I really want to play GT. Every time I chicken out.
There's a rumor that PC port is currently in development.

I really liked the series. I have the original DVD collection and scanned all the DVD covers many years ago. Sadly the DVD's are reaching their EOL and becoming unreadable with errors. :( I'd never thought I'd see the day my optical media died.

Stargate...
SG-1, Atlantis, or Universe? I got through the first 4 seasons of SG-1 then lost interest until Ben Browser and Claudia Black joined the team. I thought Atlantis and Universe were pretty good.

Found it on TitanRig. It was on sale at the time. The AIDA64 cost though was pretty steep so I opted for HWiNFO64 Pro to get sensor data and will try rolling my own dashboard.

2 hr battery life and 90hz? seems like a step backwards to me. I'd rather deal with an annoying cable personally and have the Valve Index (personally I am waiting for the Valve Index 2 before I make the leap to VR)

if we assume 2000 charge cycles and you play twice a day - that lithium battery is not going to hold its own in two years time. that is really bad

This was a tight fit, couldn't bother removing the GPU so just pushed it a little away from the RAM as the vertical mount has some flex in all sides

Wonder if i'll make it work at 6400, according to the QVL list XMP should work but i highly doubt it, maybe i'll return it and get the EXPO kit instead  At least it's Hynix and 02/23 manufacturing date, so totally new :D

Nice and it saves 2W in sleep compared to the Kingston Rury Beast RGB  I had to settle for 6200 CL32 but got 10% higher results in aida64 compared to 6000 CL30, but that's AM5, Intel is way better at that i'd imagine :D

Were you aware that Season 3 of SG: Universe appeared as a comic book?

The battery pack is hot-swappable, and spares will be available.
Anyway, I have a full-time job, so I'll likely only play at weekends.

Look the stuffs advanced to me, but i bought some dirt cheap window tinting for my lean-to shack known as a rental
Being cheap it's faintly blurry, and the 'dark' side can see in - so at night people can see in, but you cant see out. Not an issue for my needs.

same window, left side vs right side today

The right side was the tinted one, with the blind and curtain open - the left side normal with no tint

Did you step it up, by changing the software, so it goes even faster? :D

Legitimately it's not why I bought it, in theory it will do 90+kph...but even my old one that was shit quality and let me down multiple times (long story) did 60+kph and I virtually never actually exploited that speed. I tend to cruise in the 35-45kph range and I'm very happy with that speed.

From this purchase I was after quality and longevity. The last was a roller-coaster of issues, and some maintenance, I'm hoping that with lessons learned on my part, and a vastly superior unit, I can make that only maintenance in this one.

I guess it’s kinda tech? I saw a sale on a air fryer so I pulled the trigger. It’s huge and I have no easy place to store it. I’ve used it twice so far with pretty decent results. I bought a bunch of air fryer friendly stuff like nuggets and such to mess around with it this weekend. Made fish and chips and some hot wings that turned out great so far.
