I think the 6700 is a better buy at a similar price for those 2GB more of VRAM at 1440p gaming tho. Borderlands 3 uses ~9.4GB of VRAM here.

Man it's hard to spend that kind of money for me. Think about 6500xt 6600, 6700, 1650, 1030, 6650xt, one just about every week.

I spent 2-3 days with each Card only to benchmark them strictly.

I believe all of them maxed the memory sliders.

Pretty much all the mid range cards haha

Borderlands at 1440p will definitely eat away your VRAM. I wonder if it has any performance impact on the 6650XT.

Selling hardware at major losses is difficult. Mid ranged or not. But I'm having fun either way.

Might have to put the 6600 up for sale. I don't need it. Rx 580 in the list as well. Look, for sale... no bites at over 50$ less than I paid for it. Still has the protected plastic on it..... no bites.

Gave the 6650xt to my brother. He was running a GTX 1080. So I can't run that comparison really, but all the submissions are at hwbot.

The only card I power lifted is the 6700 you taught me. Wasn't aware it was possible. It does increase the performance quite a bit.

Yeah, for benchmarking AMD cards it's quite a nifty thing. You can get a fair bit more performance of a card that way.

This small damned card has a stock power limit of 158W.
Now I'm REALLY wondering why XFX set the default of the 6700 at 138W. Both Sapphire variants also have a stock power limit of 158W. Did someone screw up a number while typing the value on the BIOS? :p
Forcing me to MPT to properly OC it, smh my head.

Also the smol PowerColor card looks like a 1050 would've looked back in the day. Kind of neat that it can cool the thing decently.

When I tested this XT version of that in a toaster (Define Mini C), I got hotspot temps of 104C after finishing FFVIIR (4K max settings).

104C ain't that bad for hotspot on such a TINY card. Like geez, that thing is absolutely and positively tiny.

Hello all, you're in a club I would like to come !
I just wonder, if one of you can run a test/bench with an 6700XT / 6750XT, whatever you have, in V-Sync 60Hz.
I'm really curious what temps. we can obtain with theses settings.
Thanks you in advance ;)

Thanks Kissamies,
I'm curious about the temps here, 'cause the card runs energy friendlier in V-Sync 60Hz, and I would like to know how this can impact the temps of the card :)

But, are you suffering from input lag? I was told that 60 Hz creates input lag, at least on LCDs.

It doesn't "create" input lag. It's just higher. 60fps has a frametime of 16.6ms, which is considerably higher than 120fps at 8.4ms, for example.

In competitive games this is rather important, because usually input handling is tied to frame rate, though this isn't the case in all games. If this is the case, at 60fps your mouse movements will have an input delay of about signal delay + 16.6ms. Usually we speak of like 1000Hz with 1ms input delay or some stuff like that. Nope, not happening. You're bound by the game engine (and its framerate to input handling), your mouse itself (the actual thing advertising 1ms) and your monitor (which ends up usually at around 8ms for a decent IPS display -- do not eat up 1ms marketing)

My hotspot was 104C when I finished FFVIIR, 6700 XT in a shitty ventilated case (Define Mini C), ran at 4K60 high if that matters.

But like I said, my card has a shitty cooler so these are totally the worst case scenario temps. Now having a better case (Corsair 4000D Airflow)

No, my screen runs at 60 Hz, and I want 60 fps, so everything is Ok.
I don't need to go further as I'm looking for cool and silent GPU !
As Kodehawa says the frametime is a bit higher, but i'm not a pro-gamer, and i've even managed to to do many 1st place in Warzone with theses settings ... :)

Freesync is a nice feature as I play at 4K and I don't always even see if a game dips to 50fps or something :D

I just played some Genshin Impact at max settings @1440p (this game is locked to 60FPS) using default driver clocks & presets.
In battles GPU util is about 66%, GPU temp 65C/hotspot @75C, fans peak at 1600rpm (room temp is about 20ishC).

Oh hell no, posting this on 4K IPS monitor and no way I'd be using a TN monitor (at least as my main screen) anymore.

No. Please. No. Also IPS has catched up to TN response time-wise. The issue is that TN wasn't 1ms either, it was all marketing.
Technically if you want the best response times you go OLED. Then you *actually* have <1ms response times.

I have an old 1440p TN that has a response time of 3ms and a new-ish 1440p IPS with response time around 5.5ms. Under no circumstance would I ever recommend the TN :D

Makes me think that, technically, it could reach 6700XT levels (given enough tweaking). Very technically, though lol. Guess it's not as clear cut as the 5700/5700XT situation, at least driver-wise.

Also, this is the cooler XFX decided to bundle with a card they put a 138W power limit on. Talk about overbuilt.

At least you can do +15 PL for 160W or MPT for anything else. To be fair, 160W is plenty for a 6700.
That's a more serious-looking cooler than I have on my 200 W reference 6750 XT.

Gonna grab a 6400 soon maybe. See how that performs compared to the 6500xt. Great 1080P card though! I was impressed.
I have a 6500 XT in my HTPC, and I've also tried a 6400 once. They're really underappreciated, awesome little 1080p monsters. The 6400 is especially cool with the low-profile, power connector free versions. :)

Agreed. Once you see the IPS colour range, you'll never use TN again. VA is sort of the best of both worlds.

Also, this is the cooler XFX decided to bundle with a card they put a 138W power limit on. Talk about overbuilt.

At least you can do +15 PL for 160W or MPT for anything else. To be fair, 160W is plenty for a 6700.
The most recent stupid cooler/chip design i've seen is this one. What are they thinking seriously.

Well, the fans won't have to spin so fast, resulting in a super cool and quiet card, I guess. Personally, I agree, though. A 6500 XT doesn't need to be so big. Mine is only double-fan, and is still inaudible.

I think it's just that all Gaming OC models use the same cooler with maybe tiny variations. Mine 6700XT is of that series and looks pretty much the same except for the power connectors.
And isn't the same thing going on with Gigabyte's recent 40xx models? Like their 4070Tis are just as humongous as their 4090s...

Agreed. Once you see the IPS colour range, you'll never use TN again. VA is sort of the best of both worlds.
Maybe up to a few years ago, but nowadays I'd say IPS are simply the best across the board except for contrast.
And it's not just the colors - most VAs used to have worse motion clarity than an IPS of the same price range even before the first NanoIPS panels hit the market.

That's a more serious-looking cooler than I have on my 200 W reference 6750 XT.

That's funny. If I make it draw 200W it does something stupid like 65C edge 99C hotspot tho lol

Edge temperature barely increases but hotspot goes to hell. Issue seems to be case airflow, though. Removing the side panel drops hotspot temps 10C when gaming. I wonder why the edge temps don't move, tho lol.

I realized the top exhaust is chilling at 600RPM while gaming, because CPU temp doesn't go over 55C. Ugh.
