@unclewebb Any idea why Windows Defender does this all of a sudden? It reports that's it's a trojan horse..

Adjusting the voltage of a processor is dangerous. Good on Defender for letting you know this.

If you do not feel comfortable running ThrottleStop then do not run it. I know ThrottleStop is safe but there is no way I am going to be able to convince Microsoft or Intel that it is safe. Use TS at your own risk.

I know, it's all at my own risk. I find ThrottleStop better then Intel XTU which never save any settings on cold boot or whatever. It's the only option left to use.

Hello could I also please get 9.5.1? I just got a brand new 13900HX and would really like to properly undervolt without having to touch XTU as I’m so used to using ThrottleStop.

thank you

Hey. First of All.. Thank you for all the years of using TS. One of the best tools and a must for every laptop owner. ;) I got a AW m18 r1 and disabled UV Protection. Tried TS 9.5 but cant control E-Cores. Is it possible to get a Beta Version to test it out. Big Thanks in Advance :)

Here is the comparison with TimeSpy:

9.5.1:

incredible difference between this 2 versions. Also the Temps. I think a Temp drop of ~10°C. Later I will share more Information. Thank you!

That is correct. TS 9.5 does not work correctly on 13th Gen CPUs. I will send you a download link to a TS beta version that should work OK.
I would also like to be a Beta-Tester for the 9.5.1 version of Throttlestop for undervolting my I9 13900K.

Thank you in advance!

Thank you for the link. TPL and clock ration control is working. Undervolting does not stick though.

Diasabled "Overclocking Lock" "CFG Lock" and "Undervolt Protection" in Bios. I am still not able to undervolt through neither Throttlestop nor Intel XTU.

Did you try deleting the ThrottleStop.INI configuration file? Post a screenshot of the FIVR window if you are still having problems.

That is good to hear. Looking forward to seeing some more tests.

Imagine what I could accomplish if I had access to a 13th Gen CPU and the full documentation from Intel.

I have a problem with my I9 13900K, under Limit Reasons is "EDP Other" blinking yellow at the Core and Ring Section and if i start the TS Bench both change the color to red and the cpu does not has its full Power. Anybody could help me with that? Important to mention is also that I am using the 9.5.1 version of Throttlestop.

Thank you in advance!

Try checking the MMIO lock box in the TPL window and check the overclock box in the FIVR window. Make sure IccMax is set to 511.75 for both the core and the cache.

Do not check the Clamp boxes.

FIVR looks normal, but the undervolt does not stick (it would obviously crash with a 500mv undervolt, this is just for demonstration)

I got my bios unlocked and disabled CFG lock, Overclock lock as well as Undervolt protection. Undervolting in bios also does not stick.

Your FIVR screenshot clearly shows that Undervolt Protection is enabled. You need to disable UVP in the BIOS or install an older BIOS version that does not automatically enable UVP.

It is the only available bios for this notebook.
Undervolt protection is enabled by default. I found someon over at win raid that did unlock the advanced bios for me. There undervolt protection can be disabled, but it does not stick. The same is true for for manually undervolting in the advanced bios.

This is set to 0x0. Still no undervolting :(

You are correct that ThrottleStop was developed mostly for laptops but it should work correctly on desktop or mobile CPUs. If you ever see something that doesn't seem to work, let me know so I can fix the problem.

Check your messages. I just sent you a download link. If you are interested in doing any ThrottleStop 9.5.1 beta testing, post some screenshots of the new version so I can see if it works correctly on your 13th Gen CPU. I do not yet own any 13th Gen hardware for testing purposes so I need some help from the user community. Thanks.
Can i get the download link? im using i5 13600k and asus tuf b760m. Wanted to undervolt cuz the temp went to 100C instantly using r24. I tested using Throttlestop but didnt work

If you are still having problems, post an updated screenshot of the FIVR window. TS 9.5.1 that I sent you will show Undervolt Protection if that is the reason why you cannot undervolt. Go in the BIOS and disable Undervolt Protection (UVP) if you can find this setting. I think some motherboards with the B760 or B660 chipset might forget to include this feature in the BIOS. The ability to undervolt the 13600K can be used to significantly reduce the CPU temperature with no loss in performance.

Yes. Your FIVR screenshot shows that Intel Undervolt Protection is enabled. That is what is preventing you from undervolting. I hope you can find a way to disable this. If you cannot find an option in the BIOS to control this, think about installing a previous BIOS version if any are available.

I disabled UVP in bios. I have the first version of bios that came out for Asus tuf gaming b760m but the problem is still there

hi @unclewebb
I recently updated my laptop, it has a 13900HX heart, but after using it for some time, I found it very hot, so I want to apply to you to use beta 9.5.1 to cool it down, thank you very much

Hi, @unclewebb
I got a scar with 13980hx last week.I've been using version 9.5 recently. I'm excited that version 9.5.1 supports the E-core under volting. Can I try this beta version? Thank you so much

I disabled UVP in bios
Try updating the BIOS to a newer version. If that does not work then contact Asus. The disable Undervolt Protection BIOS feature appears to be broken.

Some of their B660 boards have a feature to use an early microcode, 0x104. Look for that option in your BIOS.
