I had to go digging about that WavLink, nice little toy, but no LAN connection. Otherwise, I freaking love it....So I wanted to utilize my old Modius DAC and Loxjie hybrid tube amp. I bought this Wavlink USB-C dock for my tablet. I love it. It can hold an M.2 SSD in it, has a power passthrough and it seems everything I plug into it actually works properly. So here I have the dock hooked up to the tablet, a USB A to Micro USB going to the DAC and the power passthrough hooked up to keep the tablet charged. It all works! Just setting up a media player now. View attachment 301441

Welcome to the (non-existent) 7700X owners' club! Just make sure you give it as much cooling as you can, and/or adjust its power and temperature limits to your liking. This CPU is a beast in all senses.I was fiddling with my backup rig (5600x) and noticed how much faster it was compared to my regular rig (8700k). So I did what any person would've done and bought the 7700X
I'm gonna replace the 8600k (VR-&HTPC) with the 5600X. The 7700K goes in my CaseLabs Mercury S8 (sig rig) along with the RTX 3080.
Second pic is the test setup on the Streacom BC1 v2 black along with the FD Celsius S24 (Noctua fans).
Edit: Shoutout to Rufus cause no wifi or lan driver were present during installation..
You have a system dedicated just for folding?New F@H gear.. waiting for parts to build my RTX2060 sys...

Nothing since my 3rd gen intel laptop has been any goodIt might be just me, but I have a bad experience with gaming laptops and try to talk everyone who wants one out of it. They mostly overheat, and even if they don't, you can't play any game on the built-in keyboard, it's so hot. Not to mention the abysmal battery life and weight. With that said, it's been years since I've had a laptop that's even remotely capable of gaming, so things might have changed since then.
That's very similar to my ITX board, and one of my friends has that boardBought the x570s Aorus Elite AX (rev 1.1) for $199 to replace my Aorus x470 that started behaving badly because of my Ryzen 5950x running at 100 degrees Celsius (using a Captain 240 watercoolergoing full blast). The cool thing about this mobo is that the design negates the need for a fan on the south bridge. Runs very well with my 5950 and Geforce 2700 super, plenty of USB ports and options, great Mobo.
Also bought an ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360 A-RGB for the heat problem and the temp went from 100 to 79.5 degrees, in a quiet fashion. Couldn't be happier.
Hoping to keep this setup for a really long time, with an upgrade on the video card next year.
