Yeah but they'd also hum and get weird depending on your PSU, and a lot of those manual controllers could do weird feedback things with power - i've seen knobs for fan control cause some weird as heck changes to voltage readings on those PSU rails

i spot damn insect on my screen ... squash it ... then proceed to notice it was not "on" the screen ... DAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

i planned to get tubeless tires (and the necessary tools and bits for it ) for my bike next ... but i guess the second option ... (well i could got with the cheaper 200ish chf Philips, shown 235ish in the comparison but 200 in checkout, still get the tires and get the rest later ... after all you can run TL-ready with inner tubes ... ) is prime now ... my fudging OCD does not allow me to unsee the ... bug...

tho the AOC is quite interesting ... and the Samsung ... too (although i do not really want 4K, it's 5chf cheaper than what i did pay for my actual Erazer X58222 but that one was an IPS ... )

idk when converted a decent model is 850+ usd I probably wouldn't spend more than 750 on one...... That's just me though. 4070ti is almost 100 usd cheaper currently for one Zotac model.

Don't even get me started. At least once a week I make a mockup build/list and cry when the budget equals 4~5 months of salary.
Not that there's anything wrong with my rig, nor do I need more firepower (if anything, I don't fully utilize my hardware).

Sorted my mum out with one of these in her 2011 car that predates Android Auto/Apple Carplay. Really impressed with the quality and how well it works given how cheap it was, and coming with a front and rear dashcam, where the rear can also be wired as the reverse cam automatically when you put the car in reverse. They also make slick head units, but that's far more involved to install, this was an absolute breeze, all completely installed and setup in less than 1.5 hours, at a cost (w/mem card) of $385 AUD / $260 USD.

I am going to just enjoy my summer for now, and when it starts to cool off again I will for sure buy a new GPU

My kid is starting to play some of my Steam games, right now it isn't too bad, but he is asking about a few that I know for sure will run, but not the way it was meant to be played

I did look at XT, and XTX.. I don't know what I will do yet. I do like the XT price, but will probably go with an XTX.. maybe from Assrock.. that nice one.. the prices are disgusting though :laugh:

Spent literally 10 dollars on it. Was unable to boot, PCI-E was going crazy.

Why on the Earth has it stopped cracking such jokes after the BIOS update, I don't know. Got a perfectly working Z490 mobo for $10.

I feel like I just scammed everything and everyone.

BIOS may have been too old for the CPU being used in it

Untrue. i7-10700K (the CPU my "customer" was testing this motherboard with) is supported by ALL BIOS versions of this board.

Yet the BIOS version definitely was too old for my Rocket Lake CPU. Behaviour with my CPU was expected: CPU led stuck at red, no boot whatsoever.

Decided to YOLO Q-Flash it and it worked.

Either ultimate polterheist, or BIOS damage for whatever reason.

That said, Qflash is great. Something else like the memory may have been unsupported, or simply corrupted.

Solar controller installed, of course it's super cloudy and raining today so i cant get anything useful from it

New vs old - the old is not only tiny, but utter shite as it gets confused if it's 12v or 24v battery and runs 16V to make batteries explode for no reason, since that voltage is not good for either setup

If terrible weather still gets me 5-10W, that's enough to charge a phone while camping - for emergency power, that's the bare minimum and acceptable.
