Yes from the 80s and 90s. The thing with Redout 2 is that once you get it the Game sucks you right in with tracks that are insane and Music that will keep you hooked but the racing and feel of speed is only compared to Wipeout but the controls are like F zero in how refined they are. Grid Legends is too small or that good that I finished it in a weekend but I was mostly playing Project Cars 2 lately and forgot that Grid legends has a nice career mode too. I might even load up 2019 once I am finished my chores but what I really want is a Sim Arcade racer with all of the new Hypercars in the WEC and IMSA. I guess I will play Forza Motorsoprt when it comes out to do that though.

I use a keyboard for these racing games and the handling is spot on, a great variety of cars and luscious surroundings. Fairly demanding on my RX 5700 at 45fps but I can probably dial it down a bit.

The Navi10 can do 4K @60 in Halo MCC. I thought that was a good achievement, back in the worst of the pandemic, so far. Clock wise, an RX 5600 XT with a "jailbreak" VBIOS mod, is like an RX 5700 with less VRAM capacity, IIRC. (RX 5600 XT is 6 GB)

Trying Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning on the laptop in sig (Dell e6430, i7 3740QM, 8GB DDR3, Nvidia NVS5200M) and it works really quite well maxed out. It gets ... quite hot though. Really quite hot. I have to repaste it I think, 105C on the CPU and 95C on the GPU is a bit too much.

yeah my gtx 1070 laptop had similar temps, it drove me nuts having to limit everything hardcore to just stay in the mid 80 celsius range. like design your laptops better... many of us would prefer you know 1/2 inch thicker laptops and a little heavier for actually proper cooling. my gpu ended up hitting 103 celsius and would stay there... i tried repasting a few times but it didn't help, in fact the screws started stripping so i was never able to get the heatsink back on properly. it still works fine, my niece uses it for minecraft and it never breaks 75 celsius for her. its only on demanding games it freaks out.

that's one reason i love having a desktop again, my 5600x3d cpu never breaks 60 celsius even with its negaitve 30 offset. and my gpu never breaks 70 celsius hotspot and 60 celius core. i swear having a gaming laptop for 6 years gave me trauma. lol i love seeing cold temps so much now. very happy with my desktop rig.

Yesterday I bought the Grid Legends Deluxe upgrade that gives you all the DLCs and it was well worth the cost.
Car Nage is mental and there's a continuation of the Nathan McKane and family story which is excellent anyway for an arcade racer.
In this shot, the idea is to deal out terminal damage to at least one vehicle without losing all your health. However, I managed to finally destroy one that I'd been after, only to lose all my health simultaneously which was a bummer.
Also, the AI went completely off the rails at this point, so instead of heading back onto the track, all the vehicles were trying to destroy each other without moving forward. In the end, just to get out of everyone's way, I had to shepherd/push my target car out of the melee, back onto the track, leap onto a flyover and crush him on landing. Didn't quite work out as expected, but a hell of a laugh either way.

Just finished the Uncharted 4 A thief's End. Great game. Stress free, action/comedy, movie like game with good story, characters and lots of fun.
Technically it's fine. Not jaw dropping but very good for a remaster of a 2016 game.
Highly recommended.

I'm thinking of jumping to The Lost Legacy but I'm afraid I won't enjoy it. Any suggestions?
If it's not worth it, I will purchase the Last of Us Part I.
(take my money Naughty Dog kind of thing)

Haven't regretted going with FH4 instead of FH5 for what I hope will be very similar reasons. Will refund this in a minute for poor controller support or bugs.

fun fact, the CEO who makes those Sniper Elite games is a huge medieval middle ages nerd. I have seen all of his videos, highly recommend. its truly a shame he doesn't put his medieval knowledge to use and make a proper medieval game lol

My GRID Legends racing day yesterday was dismal.
The first race at Bathurst, Australia started very badly and I had to restart the race about five times due to being sideswiped by aggressive competitors. In the end I gave up in order to fight another day.
In some other races, I was leading in the last lap and either another car mysteriously zoomed past me in the last few seconds or I was spun around 30 seconds from the finish line.
Not a good day at the office.
