Still have a few DFI's here myself from the days when I had "Hoarded" some 939 DFI boards.
I've either killed or sold the majority but still have at least three that work including an Expert.

Hard to say. Probably just a compatibility issue.

I picked the PC today it weighed a ton :rockout:A young guy gave me a hand getting it up the stairs at the train station ,he carried it himself as if it was very light.o_OI guess i am out of shape.:(That one i put in a suitcase on wheels was light compared to this beast. It Evan comes with the manualo_OThis was the best £5 I spent on a PC ,:)
The booklet for the motherboard and the PSU OCZ there are quite a few on eBay o_O It makes up for that wrong item I got from Aliexpress:) Why do you need such a big case for a motherboard?o_OI will put it in the case I bought earlier this year the one I carried in a wheeled suitcase.:) its total over kill putting it in the heavy monster of a case I got .yesterday. Why did they make such big heavy cases?
I will sell it at a later date I should get a few quid for it on eBay.

Some mates came over on the weekend for a belated birthday catch up, and one dude who saw me post about the recent GTX580 I got for my collection/planned display, and that I am seeking old cards, brought me a damn bag full of them, almost made me cry it was like being a kid at Xmas.

Best part, some we're literally my own from prior builds that I'd sold or passed on in our friend group, it's good to have them back in the family.

Warning, lots of photos coming, including more from a recent haul, the only one not pictured is an RTX 2080 I was given for helping someone complete a build, as it's the most powerful and in a lanbox right now.

Far more pics of the backs of the cards too, but I don't want to clutter this all up too bad. Below is after sorting to some extent and getting them catalogued and ready for storage ahead of use in other builds or my planned display.

Wow thats a lot of cards o_O And the three ones with designs on the front of them cool.:)

That case looks pretty damn awesome. I can't even imagine what kind of a watercooled beast that could house. :)
I want be using it.It is far to big.I will sell it at a later date ,it will have to be a pickup of course with all that weight and the size of it.I will have to see if the floppy drive works and the PSU o_OThe guy said it had not been used for some time.Hears hopping it works it all looks in good nick:).But you never know as some new old stock don,t all ways work.o_OMind you the board is only a PENTIUM i don,t know what one it is though.o_OThe board and the PSU are worth a fiver :) The case is a bonus.:)

As regards to Lex,s comment mentioning about the PS2 Network card they did not do a a Sata one at the time ,its a fairly resent one they not do the conversion kit IDE to Sata. But the price of them cost as much as a new Sata one o_O.
. I just heard him say the Game Star one i am getting did not work i hope his wrong. o_O
1691407739044.png

For Sony PlayStation 2 PS2 Original Network SATA Upgrade Kit Official Adaptor the cheapest one i can see is £13.50. from China.I got a Sata one for £14.77. from a uk seller.I don,t why someone would pay £13.50. for an adapter kit when they can get the real thing for not much moreo_OI am not going to get anywhere with getting a refund for the IDE one Aliexpress sent me.I have written that off.The new ones mostly seem to be made by Game Star.

I sure miss those days! now they're covered in fans more than shroud so not as much room for art.

Since getting these I've had a few others pop up too, might be adding some gems to this post very soon!

Agree. Nowadays all cards look about the same, back in the day there was way more innovation.

A few weeks ago, I posted some photo's about a SuperFam purchase. As could be seen, there was some yellowing to the plastics.

Nothing severe, but enough to annoy me.

I looked into various methods for "retro-brighting". Settled on the H2O2 vapor method as it does not require anything more than H2O2 and a heat source. It seems to have worked really well.
SuperFamicom04.jpg

While there's still just a touch of yellowing, I'm happy with it. Now to see how well it works on a cart shell. More to come...

A new Retro Soundcard from our old friend Clint. :)
I doubt if anyone will be buying it at this price.

The Gigabyte £5 PC is working but only works with the one GPU i put on it

I take that was for LGR not my £5 PC Lex. o_O

That retro-brighting turned out very good! I would have done a 2.8ghz 800FSB P4 and a Geforce3 or Geforce4. But still a nice setup!

I used to run a UV one for years water cooled n all. Was my very first custom case. Ran a socket 478 P4 HT all the way up to an i7. You should be able to see two HD 6950's flashed 70's on blocks there : )

Edit: W1zzard was the one that showed me how to flash them. Just followed the instructions on his TPU page and all went well.

This was back when no cases had radiator support.

I still have this case stashed in the cupboard. Prob close to 20 years old now.

Yeah, that's come up pretty good. I've got an original PS1 here that may need some attention. Might have to pick your brains one day ;)

P4 631 + FX5500 256MB + 120GB Hitachi SATA HDD out of a Xbox 360, running 98SE. Mobo is an trusty ole' ASRock 775i65G R2.0 - this thing could easily run a Core 2 Duo-powered 98SE/XP/7 triple boot if I really wanted to... but I don't see the point (since 98SE ain't gonna see anything besides 1 CPU, and running XP on a C2D ain't really on my taste anymore). I also have a MSI 865PE Neo3-V w/ P4 631 that awaits the same treatment, except that one is going to dualboot 98SE and XP w/ a 9700 Pro.

Still having some issues to iron out but so far it's coming together nicely.

It was last time I used it, I have no reason to believe it's dead now, but I haven't tested it yet no.

As some of you know, I've been buying Super Famicom games and PCB swapping the English games into them. Some of them had yellowing issues. See below;
SFCCartRetroBrighting-Before-02.jpgSFCCartRetroBrighting-Before-01.jpg

So this happened... I left the heat lamp hovering over the container. The metal arm then drooped...
MeltedSFC-CartBack.jpg

As you can see, the process was working until they started melting. :banghead: Now I have to find donor carts... But hey, at least I know that the vapor method works consistently!

While I disagree with Phil's conclusions, no one can argue his passion!

The point I think he's missing is this: At that time, the Celeron266 was an excellent value for the money as it was a Slot1 CPU that performed better than a Pentium233MMX and at half the cost. When you factor in how ridiculously easy it was to OC to 400mhz, the value only gets better. The Celeron266 running at 400mhz was on par with a Pentium2 300 and was close to a Pentium2 333 in many typical computing tasks and games. The Celeron300(non-A) was the same just a little faster. Those two CPU's were WAY out-classed and out-shined by the Celeron300A, but were still a good value at the prices they were going for, which was $51/$56 respectively.
