After sending the wrong case, Condition1 case finally joins the family

Fits the L5 PC + power adapter perfectly. Not a bad deal at all for $50usd, considering Nanuk 915 and Pelican 1400 were both over $100.

Nah, I'm going to replace my internal water cooling to external. And add qdc's on 2 of my pc's.

I had some AIO pump issues recently that made me consider going back to air. Luckily, shaking the radiator above the pump solved the issues (absurd noise and temps to the point of shutting down).
For my next build, I'm seriously thinking of running air from the get-go.

I really wanted this case when since I have seen the article on techpowerup, DeepCool CH560 Digital. I really like it, looks great. I have an obsession with changing the PC case once in a few months :))

New mouse, a DeathAdder Essential. Thankfully doesn't need Synapse to be fully enjoyed.

My G305 Lightspeed's side button was in pretty rough shape, as I use it to crouch/slide in Apex... and Amazon had this on sale, decided to take the plunge. TPU review was lukewarm but it's as decent a basic mouse as any. Haven't used my PC in the past couple of days since I caught Covid, so might as well return with a little improvement. It's quite comfy and ergonomic, I think I'll be taking a liking to this in the end.

hybrid glass+mesh side panel + 2 fan mounts on the PSU shroud = i'm surprised i haven't come across the CH560 before, its right up my alley!

For me Deepcools got it spot on with the small digital temp/utilisation screen. I've wanted something along these lines for a long time. Love the displays simplicity, CPU-GPU only focus and minimal footprint.

Does the front panel (infront of the x3 fans) include a dust filter?

How do the stock fans fare in terms of performance and noise levels? I'm guessing these are already hooked up to an included fan hub/controller?

My latest purchase for the SNES/SFC;

I decided to take a look inside, for giggles;

Damn nice quality IMPO! I'm also happy to be supporting someone from the Ukraine. Now I can play most of my modded SNES titles natively on the intended hardware.

BooYah!

Sort of tech-related?

20230822_185713.jpg

I got a brushless 1/2" impact wrench, inverter, 5Ah battery, and 50W charger for around $140 total after tax.

I bought the impact wrench for working on my car. I have a brushed impact driver that really struggles to break my car's lug nuts free. I haven't tested it on that yet, but I can definitely tell why people like brushless tools just from playing around with it.

The inverter has a 150W 120VAC outlet, two 10W USB-A ports, and a 30W USB-C PD 15V port.

What really surprised me is that the USB-C PD port will actually charge my Zephyrus G14 and Steam Deck despite being 15V. The G14 complains that it's a slow charger when it's on, but it happily trickle charges from it in sleep mode. The Steam Deck will run directly off of it just fine.

I also tried it on my Dell Latitude 5179, which is very picky about chargers, and it didn't work. That device only charges from 20V PD chargers, so not really a surprise. Of course, at that point, I'd just use the 120V outlet.

Now I want to get an 8Ah battery once the deal for those comes back. I could charge my laptop's battery twice from one of those.

That looks completely the same as the one from Ducky: https://www.duckychannel.com.tw/tw/Ducky-One2-Horizon

Yeah, from history I learned that Akku and Ducky was working together until 2019 this might be why.

But I am overall happy it's more silent or have another sound to the switches than my razer keyboard had.

Also I reported the misinformation description to the amazon customer service person I was dealing with because the description lists 2xpink switches but the option for keyboard lists linear yellow cream switches so they will have to get this changed.

But overall I am satisfied with the keyboard and mousepad, currently waiting on the almost €30 to get transferred back to my account.

Do tell.
Best mod would be to just fit inside of a open window which isn't very difficult.
Yes but alas my windows don't slide open.

I'd planned this setup (external rad) when I still had wooden window frames but the housing corporation decided to give us plastic frames and double glazing, damn them for giving me better isolation.

The front panel includes a pre-applied mesh filter, I think it is non detachable so to clean it, the front cover needs to come off. This is an easy process honestly. I really like the magnetic retaining system on the side glass panel, it is quite firm and steady. The fans are impressively quiet, there is a fan daisy chain that connects all the fans together and a 4 pin header goues into the MB. Really, really pleased with this case. It cost me £112 brand new on ebay. I can say that the metal used on it is quite thin, this makes the case lighter but obviously not as sturdy as others, honestly it does not bother me at all.

Linear cream yellow, but they are still feeling and sounding better than the switches on my Razer Blackwidow keyboard I used before plus all the keys are working now.

One of many challenges would be maintaining enough pressure to push whatever is used for coolant through that large of a vessel. Or suck. Or both. Probably noisy, but mounting the radiator outside would be a whole other set of issues. Could be a fun Winter project.

One of many challenges would be maintaining enough pressure to push whatever is used for coolant through that large of a vessel. Or suck. Or both. Probably noisy, but mounting the radiator outside would be a whole other set of issues. Could be a fun Winter project.
The space heater project will be placed next to the pc in the room. I'm still thinking of using my dual ddc's or go with dual D5's for blowing :)eek:), fans will spin at the lowest rpm; enough to cool but almost inaudible. Mounting outside was a dream but no longer possible.

Edit: kinda like this

Thanks to the incompetence of Canada Post and CBSA, a $2 bracket took 3 weeks to arrive

But now we're finally ready to get down to work

What really surprised me is that the USB-C PD port will actually charge my Zephyrus G14 and Steam Deck despite being 15V. The G14 complains that it's a slow charger when it's on, but it happily trickle charges from it in sleep mode. The Steam Deck will run directly off of it just fine.

Nice! I've been telling myself for years I need to get a 1/2" impact but always just end up making do with my regular hardware. One of these days...

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
ok no bike,

damn i hate Noctua... but when i see that, for 25chf instead of the whooping 55chf it usually go for ... why not ... (hilariously BNIB and not "open box" )

oh, i see now why they are so expensive ... 15% packaging, 35% metal badge, 25% for the actual heatsink and 25% for the heatsink side plates (damn these are thick ...) joking obviously
na, i still don't see why, and i still hate the color scheme (luckily it's for the Elite 8300, no windows on that HP Compaq )
ah noticed it had a piece of paper that sliped between the fan and heatsink ... will remove it prior to instalation :D

but now, no one can say i am biaised when i say other brand can perform same for less money ;)

ok ... i lied ... i took that for reaching free shipping :p

a few redundant tool, with those i bought on TEMU, but better too much than not having the right tool.

i keep it for my mother, she love everything and anything Owl

you should see at home (i also ordered and acrylic sun-catcher and a neat owl pendant for her, when i go see my parent around the 22sept  )

nonetheless ... the NH-L9i is not bad at all and for the price paid, it remove one of the grip i have with them (the other one is color related as i mentioned )
