@GreiverBlade got the same on my rig, but with a 92x25 mill fan. Did you get the "classic" version up to LGA1151 support or it comes with LGA1700 support as well? I can't use mine on the new Intel sockets, so when the moment for upgrade comes, I will have to ditch the cooler as well. :(

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o

classic, since i intend to use it in my "htpc" which run a i7-3770 which is on a compatible LGA1155

iirc, you could send an email to Noctua customer support, since it seems what make them expensive is also support and warranty (well warranty is 6yrs but if you have any issues beyond a DOA or factory fault it would not likely be covered by the warranty  specially with something like a HSF ) and they would send it the corresponding mount hardware, for free or not ... can't remember ... i am not a huge Noctua fan (specially not brown and beige ... )

hilariously the NH-L9i LGA 17XX is cheaper than the classic at non discounted price (44.95chf versus 55chf ) still it baffle me that they offer 2 version only compatible with limited sockets instead of doing like some other do and include all mounting material in, well for the L9i 115X i can understand ... although they could do a L9u (as in universal) and include mounting bracket for Intel/AMD ... but nope ...

ofc, for example, a Thermalright AXP90-X47 is priced higher but it's a pure copper with 4 heatpipes instead of nickel plated copper base 1 heatpipe and aluminium fins (and the AXP90-X47 is compatible with all socket out of the box ), in the compact HSF Noctua offer is priced on par ... but offer, imho, less and perform all the same ...

Dell's higher end gaming monitors have the same Ultrasharp coverage right? Hopefully they take care of that in a jiffy with an exchange.

i keep it for my mother, she love everything and anything Owl

you should see at home (i also ordered and acrylic sun-catcher and a neat owl pendant for her, when i go see my parent around the 22sept  )

nonetheless ... the NH-L9i is not bad at all and for the price paid, it remove one of the grip i have with them (the other one is color related as i mentioned )
Your mother would've loved the BBC Micro - Look at the logo!

My Noctua NH-D15 Chromax actually is using the am4 for my am5 setup.

I emailed Noctua and they replied I could use this the am4 mounting didn't need am5 mounting so that was a nice surprise.

But if you have one the first version find the invoice for it and email Noctua they will ship you a free mounting.

Well, AM5 was made to ensure compatibility with AM4 coolers. That is why the IHS on 7000-series Ryzens is so thick.

Time to escape WiFi congestion, while still upgrading on the 5GHz front. I could never get anywhere close to that speed on my desktop on WiFi AC before (with an Archer C1200). Guess I'll leave the 6G network to a time when I'd actually profit from lower latency in spite of the speed getting cut in half, with a single wall between the devices.

I finally pulled the trigger on the Focal Clear. I've been after them for years and a local retailer slashed prices on all Focal, basically 1/3 RRP which is nuts.

They sound absolutely sublime.

And since moving on to a much better paying job, I don't feel as guilty about spending this much on a pair of headphones ha!

50C before and 40C after, and this was in just browsing and watching a video. But physical evidence, no. they do stick out annoyingly though, I might just redo them with the low profile ek's.

Got this for my game library/ backup drive. I have a few older games still on disk that I wont be able to use since I dont have an optical drive anymore so I will move them to my old pc and from there to this backup drive.

For the people wondering why I got such a high speed drive when I could have gotten by with a cheaper one. It's becuse if I get bored I can just plop it in the system and have an great alternative.

FAIL; the GTX1060 hit the ssd cooler with the fan.
Also the ssd cooler doesn't fit next/under the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 cpu cooler. Most likely it won't fit with most tower air coolers.

well it has a mirror finish on top, I guess you just bought an expensive mirror, you could alternatively send it to @freeagent as a christmas ornament, his little heart would melt

Looks super good for a card that can encode videos! Even though I probably will get the Arc A380 at the minimum, as it's not that much more in price in the U.S. If I decide to get one for another PC build.
It's like an Arc A380 with less VRAM capacity. Even though I don't know how the performance differences will be between the two.

Would say you timed this purchase about right. Hope you find them a good fit physically and in their particular sound qualities.

well it has a mirror finish on top, I guess you just bought an expensive mirror, you could alternatively send it to @freeagent as a christmas ornament, his little heart would melt
I took mine off too for two reasons.. 1, I don’t need them, and 2, they stick out a lot. Out of my plethora of coolers, I can only use the NVMe sinks with my smallest CPU coolers :D

i use the EK nvme heatsinks with my desktop drives, never had an issue with clearance or anything and it keeps temps nice and cool

edit: i also have GELID nvme heatsink i got for 5 bucks on sale, its a bit smaller form factor than even the EK, but I like it a lot too.

I am just using what came with my mobo.. works good :)

I bought mine originally so that I had something that looked different from the basic cookie cutter setup that comes with motherboards. They do work well..

The stuff I'd ordered, mentioned previously, have arrived, I've already installed 'em in my main rig ..... the SSD enclosure will be used for a spare 2TB PCIe3x4 NVMe M.2 drive I'll have after upgrading my 2nd rig with 2x 2TB PCIe4x4 NVMe M.2 SSDs, in addition to a 4TB SATA SSD already installed.
