Well its better to find out if your PC can even play the game before you buy it here in canada starfield cost 90 dollars thats alot of money for any game these days. If its a good game people will buy it cause these days you need updates to optimize the game. Im not saying pirate the game but If you wanna test if it runs on your PC before you buy it im not against that. The days of pirating games has pretty much ended just cause games require constant updates... AKA I wish there were more demos like the old days. Back when gaming was actually good games didnt need updated they released games that were tested and a finished product. Then came EA games like pretty much every single AAA game that has come out in the last 10 years.
Yeah I will admit that sometimes I do pirate games for this very reason, just to 'demo' them if possible.
'almost no one benches using 21:9 resolutions especially with mine so I also check out the UW support in games'
Ever since I make my own money I tend to buy the games I'm actually interested in playing for real, chances are if I pirate a game to try out and don't like it I wouldn't buy it anyway and I will end up deleting the pirated version too.
Pirated AAA games are kind of meh anyway cause of the missing updates, day 1 cracked versions are barely working as a demo nowadays.
This also depends on where you are from/mindset of the ppl you grew up with.
Where I'm from pirating games was a completely normal thing back in my younger days, we were trading pirated games on cds/dvds like its a normal thing.
When I was in my younger high school years thats when I've started realizing that this aint exactly normal and since Half Life 2 was around the corner I've decided to buy it on the launch day for full price.
Literally all of my friends thought that I'm crazy and stupid for doing that including my brother who still thinks that till this day when I buy new games.
'if he can download something then hes not paying for it thats for sure'
Luckily I have gamepass atm so thats where I will try out Starfield.
