Strangely enough, your multi core score is lower than my 5700X while the single core is higher. Your cooler is better and the UK is pretty cool right now.
single core: 92
all cores: 791
Weird... You've motivated me to OC my 5700X, there will be a thread shortly asking for help... :D
Silicon lottery I guess. Our specs are very similar. Care to try an experiment? We both OC just CPU's but do exactly the same changes? (Hopes Another Reader is an OC GOD!)
Jeez those high end Radeon 6000 series are pretty damn powerful!
My sarcasm detector is broken. It's better than 8500 or so it got last time. Something to do with the cinebench people being in bed with Nvidia hence you scoring 3k more points...

My 5700X is at stock settings right now; I like how cool and quiet it is. Yeah we can try overclocking both our samples to see how we did in the Silicon lottery.

Oh no its a new pointing system
But I like to see the gpu test, CBR23 is basically dominant among the cpu testing I hope it kills the other competitors to simplify understandings

Do you actually have knowledge of what you are doing though? I have no clue, as my system was unstable last time. What programs would you use?

Hi, could u plz tell me how many watts ur CPU uses when doing the single core benchmark.
You can just run it for one minute and tell me the watt. No need to wait until the end of benchmark.

Have you tried testing that 6800 XT in Windows?

No, I wish that CB was a genuine reflection of GPU raster power and not..... who knows because the 6900xt is a somewhat better card on paper minus hw accelerated rt, although 6900xt has 80 RT cores vs 68 on 3080?

Always wanted try a high end radeon. Got 60pc more memory but everything else lacks, including memory speed

Benchmark Scores They're pretty good, nothing crazy.
Not a fan of making too many unnecessary changes in UEFI / Click Bios 5. Tbh , this being my first build, I don't want to screw with anything as long as benchmarks are normal.

Shows you how badly MSI are kicking ass in the Mobo world at the moment.
Wouldn't consider any other brand as far as mobos go.

Your 13 7 is very impressively benched, and then there's that ITX contraption.
But what about real world performance?
What's single core like, are you a gamer?
Because this where single core power REALLY matters as games use only 1 core, unless , like AMD,
You're already down to 5nm and using neat tricks with the caching. I'm guessing this is why they are killing it in cb24?

1695425792263.png

Single core is pretty average -- these score are pretty average in general for the 13700K(f)... I maybe just bios/power plan? Did you try ultimate performance power plan yet?

I honsetly don't think it's the ring/ram tweaks since in prior versions of CB they did exactly nothing... but those tweaks do help in gaming quite a bit so maybe this version is more sensitive to that... nor really sure.

Ryzen 7700X: UV -25, TDP 95W, 75Temp Max
Red Devil 7900xtx: 500/2950/1050mv, VRAM 2714 (Fast)
GPU: 15166
CPU Multi: 1066
CPU Single: 120
MP Ratio: 8.91x

This is such a sick undervolt... really nice :toast:

What motherboard are you using for that?
How heavily have you overclocked both P and E cores, and most importantly to cinebench scores, your cooling setup.

I went from 1608 multi core to 1665 just by lowering the ambient room temp by 5c and a +200 on the P cores, + 100 on E cores.

What the devil are you up to in other words?

So... nothing? -- this is a daily driver rig... i run it 24/7 and when it ran those scores it had a bazillion apps and vms (idling) open in the background:
1695428587142.png

It's been on for 6 days since the last windows update.

this is the start menu RN:

1695428633697.png

There is 0 overclocking going on here (apart from the ring and ram tuning)- I did have to rerun the single core score a 3 times because i kept forgetting about it and switching to another app but it got from 123-124 every time. Also it hits stock scores in every other bench (R23, timespy, etc.) compared to review sites.

Can you disable windows search and indexer on your rig and rerun the bench?

Motherboard is MSI 690-I PRO on second to last bios (last bios update crushed ram performance).

I use Prime95 for the CPU stability test. If I undervolt, I run a sanity check with known benchmarks like Cinebench or Blender to determine that nothing went awry.

You know what you are doing, this shall be fun!

I haven't used blender before, is that a free program? I will get prime 95 now.

Blender is free and there's a version just for benchmarking. Since it stresses the FPU and is repeatable, it's a good check of both stability and catching unexpected performance drops.

You could update the bios as that is old in computing terms, BUT you may want to start a thread asking first as I know not much and I'm here for knowledge and answers myself.

Tweaked IF and manual ram tuning, no CO or tuning for CPU. Might give my 7800 profile a go to see if bandwidth bump on memory will beat out 1:2 penalty. Too much fiddling to get 8000 working has push of any cpu tuning for now :(

How interesting. My 13700K hit 1665 mc with the a/c running full blast and a slight overclock.

@GigaHurtOC I think i found the issue.

If i enable the microcode that allows me to disable Undervolt Protection it drops my score by 100PTs even though i can run 5.4 ghz (100mhz more)
with uvp ->1652 without uvp -1765... it's the microcode. Also it raises my temps by 10C even though volts stay the same :wtf:

1695504924725.png

The boards actually load in a custom microcode in the bios to allow UVP to be disabled - this is one of the only benchmarks that shows performance regression with that microcode loaded.
