Could planets have more landing points, variants, and points of interest? Yes. But you'll find that for a base game, it's quite meaty - I've been playing for 22 days now non stop, sessions of 12h+, and I haven't even come close to getting bored yet.

God I wish I could do that, but the game has crashed about 150 times in 21 hours and I just can't be fucked anymore. I even went back to using a "supported" card, an RX 5700 XT, and it was stable for all of 3 hours before it spiraled into crashing to desktop every 40 minutes. Then it became every 10 minutes, and now just loading the save is enough to crash it if I can even get the game to load. I've just gone back to playing Baldur's Gate 3 to fill my game time. Maybe I'll check back in a few months and see if they fixed anything.

That's odd. Do you have any mods? I haven't gotten a single crash that wasn't caused by a mod yet. Game will run stable for very very extended periods of time here

Still on vanilla shipbuilding rules, mind.

16K cargo (!) and immense facilities inside (lots of rooms are 2x2's, every element is present)
4x front firing EM weapons for boarding, two other weapon groups are turrets that cover every angle, because we're slow and bulky.

I haven't even had time to consider installing mods. Hell, I've only made it to my third planet so far. Impossible to make any progress with how frequently it has been crashing.

Any OCs on CPU, GPU, or RAM? I'm running fairly outdated hardware (8700k, GTX 1080, 32GB DDR3 3200 RAM, but it's all stock speed. Sure I get some crashes, but only after very long sessions. Nowhere NEAR every 40 min.

Just found something interesting with the "Not Authorized to Pilot Ship" message you get with some ships after killing the crew. (Note, I do not know if this will work for all ships encountered with this massage.) When you get a ship that you get that message on, sit in one of the cockpits jump seats and hit the wait B key and set the timer for 24 hours. When the timer finishes, you will get some piretites shooting at you in the cockpit, take them down and then get in the pilot's seat and lift off.

This how I got this ugly ship.........

I would have thought it would have more cargo space for the size..meh :(

Nope. ASRock broke overclocking on my machine with a UEFI update so it's been stuck at stock clocks for awhile. Though lots of reports of issues on Zen 3 systems from what I've seen, so I'm putting the blame on Bethesda and AMD. What's funny is if I boot up the test bench with an outdated and unsupported hardware config, but use an Intel CPU it doesn't crash as often. Only about twice in 3 hours.

This game has been incredibly stable even with mods.

Yep. I'm fully loaded up with mods and have crashed once in the last week. I did install a mod which made things wonky for a little while, but once removed it's been plain sailing.

I've also got a friend running a Ryzen 1700 who's been playing non-stop and swears he's not yet had a single crash.

Easily the most stable Beth game I've ever played (I think - I can't remember if Morrowind ever crashed on me).

You don't? Ships cost credits. Parts in shipyards become available as you level up!

I built almost everything on Akila City and Deimos.

I'm currently tackling NG+ runs so I can reach the maximum Starborn bonuses. Already unlocked every power, and at level 78/NG+7, should have it done by tonight.

Once I've gotten the highest grade Starborn gear (by playthrough 11/NG+10) I'm going to do a full playthrough of the game, dedicating time to the shipbuilding and settlement mechanics.

I've devoured this game thus far. I've finished all main questlines (UC, Freestar, Crimson Fleet, Ryujin, Constellation) and done a very large amount of if not almost all side quests at this point. Radiant quests add decent filler but there's little replacement for a NG+ once side quests begin to exhaust.

Very enjoyable, I really hope that the expansion adds a lot more content, and hopefully they have like two or three more on the pipeline. Game has so much untapped potential still, I'm hopeful that the expansions will develop on House Va'ruun and the Va'ruun'kai, perhaps a post-game epilogue addition a-la Fallout 3's Broken Steel regarding a second Colony War... I'll be eagerly awaiting for the DLC's and maybe even some nicer Creation Club additions.

For reference it's been playable for 647 hours, at the time of writing.

Yeah, I've been playing since the Premium Edition preorders unlocked. Month of straight all nighters playing it, and I loved it! No shame here!

Couple things I did ( not the whole list)
  1. revamped Frontier into class c beast while keep realtively the same looks
  2. decided the resource scan (from space) doesnt match the surface "run around scans" looking for deposits
  3. still have FC and Valruun faction quests to do, if there are any.
  4. Did mantis side arc, the RvR was 5050 meh
  5. married a bimbo while carrying on with the deadbeat dad (BOOKS!).
  6. still dont know how to create an outpost xp treadmill.
  7. reached 400k+ credits, twice.
  8. figured out there are several side quests that are bugged/undoable without using the command line.
some how i managed to get achievements locked without really know what i did, I didnt enter anything in the command prompt, even tho I do accidentally open it, a lot, from phat fingers. Im going to install the lock mod, which i hate using any mods.

I can count the number of bugs I've encountered in this game on one hand.
I need two hands and a couple toes

God I wish I could do that, but the game has crashed about 150 times in 21 hours and I just can't be fucked anymore. I even went back to using a "supported" card, an RX 5700 XT, and it was stable for all of 3 hours before it spiraled into crashing to desktop every 40 minutes. Then it became every 10 minutes, and now just loading the save is enough to crash it if I can even get the game to load. I've just gone back to playing Baldur's Gate 3 to fill my game time. Maybe I'll check back in a few months and see if they fixed anything.
Every so often I see bit of stutter/slowness opening window, so I'll restart windows explorer. Several times now I restarted WinExplorer before playing and notice less frequent crashing.

I was just thinking, @Fouquin are you playing on Arc? Or does it seem to be an AMD thing? I still have a Ryzen/Zen 3 CPU on my laptop, but the RTX 3050 is likely not gonna take kindly to this game... I could maybe try there, see what gives. It's super solid on my end.

I honestly wish there was an option to retain the look of the NG+ 8 Tempus armor into versions 9 and 10, because I hate the look of the cloak versions.
