Its okay, lately I'm playing a mobile/PC gacha game 'Nikke' the most on my PC and it draws like 20W from my GPU so yea.
I am trying to make up for it with Far Cry 6 maxed out but eh I barely play 1-2 hours/day at most. 'at this rate my 3060 Ti will easily last me till next gen unless it dies on me..'

Wyll Go Stupid. This is the apex of what a Monk can do, guaranteed

Open Hand Monk 10... + Fighter Champion 4 (Improved Critical) + 6 Rogue Thief (Bonus Action and 2x Expertise, Uncanny Dodge...)
With almost every feat into Ability points I can get 3x20 Str/Wis/Dex at the cost of the Tough and Mobile feats and 18 Con. I can now drop the 18 Dex bracers for the +2 AC Bracers and get 27 whoppin AC.

So, in one turn: 2x Flurry of Blows, 2x Ki Resonation or Unarmed Attack (@ 24-34 dmg), and the ability to blow up Resonating ki on top. Oh.. Action Surge for another 2 attacks then, why not?

And with more Rogue he also has +13 in every Wisdom skill now :)

bg3_2023_12_27_22_40_43_075.jpg

I've also minmaxed the Sorc now for level 20 and found a nice hat and shoes with Freedom of Movement :p
4 Bard of Valour for those sweet proficiencies, more ESL (Effective spellcaster level) so it actually just costs 4 Sorcery Points; and gains a bucket of utility spells and cantrips too, also by starting with Bard, you get a lot more skill proficiencies. 2 Warlock for Agonising Blast and another skill expertise level on Deception and Persuasion, giving me +14 on all charisma skills. Sorcerer carries a suite of Fire, Lightning and Cold damage spells and the rest is utility and CC, and is Elemental Adept in all three elements too. No level 6+ spell slots are lost either with this setup, but I do gain 2 Warlock slots.

Also, with that Sword, Ketheric's Shield, 22 Cha and her Robe she has a whoppin 21 Spell Save DC.

It appears we don't need Larian to build proper level 20 material? :)

bg3_2023_12_27_22_48_50_727.jpg

Karlach is still an indestructible Cleric, now with proper gear, a permanent Blade Ward and auto revive.

bg3_2023_12_27_23_10_24_069.jpg

Laezel now has 11 Fighter for Improved extra attack and finally found a good bow. With that self-haste she can fire 6 arrows in one turn :) Also, Disarming Attack is so powerful on a ranged weapon.

Yeah well guilty as charged:oops:, but for real there are days when I simply don't feel like playing anything serious and just play that game instead + it does help with my mood with the funny parts.:) 'the game has its depressing/dark parts too but thats another story'
I've been playing it since the launch day and I'm doing just fine as a 100% free2play. 'finished the current story chapters and got a meta main team in general that can do anything in the game currently'
Its a very solid side game for me when I'm not feeling my usual PC gaming mood. 'honestly there are times when I'm more excited for an update in this game than a new AAA PC relase..'

Like I'm still yet to leave the first starter Island in FC 6 cause the Xmas event kept me busy in Nikke.

THAT's Skyrim? That really does look amazing! Very nice!

It does look amazing indeed, takes a while to install but worth it, takes a fair bit of space theough.

I've been on a big Remnant 2 kick. Bought it on release but for some reason it just didn't click like the first game did for me and I set it aside until a couple of weeks ago.

Put a little over 60 hours in now and I've probably only seen about half of the potential random events. Finished the main storyline once, finished the one shot DLC once, replayed parts of both. Very solid game. Still don't really like the new 3D map, but it's kind of necessary since new levels have significantly more verticality and layering versus the first game. Got used to it eventually.

Aa I've said elsewhere, if you liked Remnant 1 I don't know why you aren't already playing it, and if you didn't, it's got enough quality of life changes that it's probably worth a second look

Holy SH!T is that a big mod!! o_O:fear::twitch:

It's a combination of about 144 from nexus iirc. It's pretty clever how the whoever have worked it all out, it worked fine first run for me, and does look a ton better. If you have the space and like skyrim it is deffo worth a look. It's pretty configurable too.

Just got Alan wake 2 with Alan Wake Remaster , sale plus and other 33 percent off at Epic .
With all the bells and whistles turn on, 4Kmax RT PT -DLAA and RAY RECONSTRUCTION only , no upscaling !
28 to 40 fps , 450 watts plus from my 4090 , will do a repeat of the scene I posted later , with DLSS Quality and FG .
Updated now with FG and RAY RECONSTRUCTION plus DLAA only , steady 55 plus fps , still 450 watts , going use DLSS Quality later , going to sleep.
Update - Now all the DLSS3.5 Quality at 4Kmax RT PT FG RR , two things jump out , 50 less watts and 80 plus fps , it seems like RR - DLAA are my fav so far , look the same ,but feel different , FG latency .

Just finished Painkilller Black Edition (Gog version, still have the physical copy :) )
It's Painkiller and the Battle out of Hell extension.

First with Gog, the French version (it was the auto-install) is 1.6.0, known for a nasty bug in one of the last levels, an activation point doesn't trigger, so you're stuck endlessly :(
So, change to English version, little auto patch and ta-daa ! version 1.6.4, no bugs and still working saves !
Thus, I've experienced some bugs here and there, and some crashs too (and a corrupted savepoint), but nothing troublesome in 15h 08m (longer than F.E.A.R !)

Back to the game, I've mixed feelings.
It was better in my memory ... When the planet are aligned, Painkiller is great, good ambiance, fun weapons, and (to me) not as good as Serious Sam gameplay but close.
Some major flaws, some levels are great and some boring and uninspired.
Most levels are huge, but you fight in closed area, and when all the monsters are killed, go to the check point, and proceed to the next area and so on ...
And sometimes you get stuck, you miss an enemy, at the top of something, and search for him in a deserted area ...
Boss are huge and can only be killed in some ways (I've had to check some faqs) and rather stupidly
To be honest, i'had a 50 / 50 : love / hate experience with Painkiller.
Very far from being a bad game, but some gameplay choice are outdated by today standards ... Was fun to go back in time to see the evolution of gaming :)
I remembered it as a top game, just an Ok/not so bad game today especially some very goods levels.
Note : the extension levels are better refined though.

Last level of Painkiller was a genius idea, a huge map remembering all the wars Humanity has faced, but nothing is moving, only ghosts and Lucifer to finish.

2023-12-23_1512_1.png

As I said, some levels shows a very good atmosphere

2023-12-29_1211_1.png

The Loony Park, perhaps the most remembered level, a highlight for sure !

Look how the games were in full low back then. Even no weapon on screen ! When I see perfs. bench on TPU (ex the last one : Avatar) ther no much visual difference between Low and Ultra.

I'm back on a zombie streak and am finding Dead Island 2 to be somewhat average, more of the same and am a little disappointed that all the extras that come with the Gold Edition (juicy weapons and actual firearms) can't be used or added until well into the game. Apparently, the reason for this is to give all players the same level playing field. Wtf? Since it's primarily a single player game, what the heck difference would it make? I never play multi anyway.
As mentioned in a previous post, I'm back with Days Gone Game+ and the difference is night and day, with Days Gone, in my opinion being the superior zombie game in every way.
Then I had another stab at Zombie Army 4, which is everything it sets out to be without taking itself too seriously. It's a laugh a minute and a hugely enjoyable Nazi zombie, slasher fest.

Ghostwire Tokyo... not the best looking modern title but some areas are super creepy...

I still come back to Supernatural mod by Sviatoslav. It packs so much extra content.

Also on Steam:

Full disclosure: I might have been less than legal in how I played it when a kid, but paying my dues to devs that provided me with hundreds of hours of entertainment. Did the same by purchasing Tony Hawk 1+2 on launch as well.

I enjoyed a lot Painkiller, regarding Tony Hawk... waiting to be cheaper but If it was the case of TH Underground was gonna be like : take my money!!

HDR is still processing , day or two .
If that's anything like Dead Space, which I got free on EA a few years back, it scared the pants off me. I'd better stick to Minesweeper in future :D

I somehow managed to finish Alien Isolation but it took over a year! Most of that time I spent hiding behind my chair.
Also, I bought the DLCs but rarely fire them up. Maybe I will after a stiff rum and Coke :toast:
