were your 7800x3d tests same scores as mine, my guess if your score was before the nerf 7800x3d's got through bios updates

cause i had to do -30 CO all core to get the same score, for some reason -30 and no other changes only gives me a 4.650 all core. heh stock its only like 4.3 all core. everything stock, expo on, -30 co, thats it. latest bios. strange.

Stock limits for 7800X3D are impossibly high I think, so TDC/EDC is out.

I don't have a reference for CB24 as I don't use it.

I would just chalk it up to a conservative board in general. ASRock generally does not push CPUs as hard as Gigabyte.

SOC power is quite high but expected for 1.25V. If you ran 1.1V or so, that figure should probably be halved.

My 7800X3D is recent production, so long after the VSOC controversy. I just compensate with CO. Power draw and Tctl/Tdie are overall similar to yours.

I gained 16 points c24 multi by changing my temp limit on 7800x3d from 85 celsius to 75 celsius, leaving -30 CO the same.

I am so confused. lmao

going to 65 temp limit now, cause why not, nothing makes sense anymore, but hey the temps and scores are beating stock scores and stock temps, so why not!

and the red temps don't even matter, it doesn't downclock anything, i kept an eye on the entire time. AM5 overclocking makes no sense to me, but if it works it works.

I will report back tomorrow with my score for the 65 temp limit :toast: i don't know why but i have a hunch 75 is the sweet spot, otherwise its just too good to be to true

I guess, but I just ran this now. I haven't even touched the curve optimiser.

Any idea what could be the reason for the low single-core result? I guess it should be around 100?

I must add that I find this GPU render test funny. What kind of load is it, when it didn't even take my GPU fans for a single spin?

With that score it's not strange... I get >10k on a 6800 XT.

It's an ES.

It'll be whatever you want it to be, unlocked multi. So it would be better to call it a 9700K, nvm what cpu-z wattage says. Throw a pot on it! :D

I will just quote myself for an easier comparison cause I've forgot to check Cine 2024 with my 12600KF since I got it. 'GPU score is a bit lower, I guess margin of error or something'
As usual everything is at stock with some undervolting.
