The videos don't do this game justice. Neither do the screenshots honestly. Running locally at 4K (even with DLSS) it's easily one of the most graphically impressive games available (really only topped by Hellblade 2, which is to be expected with how linear that game is, and in some areas Avatar, mainly foliage quality and density but that's always been a big focus for Avatar in general).
Honestly I thought it look visually pretty good outside of the mostly weak character models. So I was surprised people were being so critical but maybe I shouldn't be lol. Avatar running on the same engine also looks good especially the environments.
I think there is a lot of ubisoft hate and star wars fatigue going on which at this point is probably warranted, I try to be as unbiased as possible towards a publisher and a franchise and just judge it on its own merit I don't really care who makes a game, their political beliefs, what country they're from, only that the game is good or not.
I've had a decent amount of fun with Cod every year even though the internet loves to hate that game although I have an actual group of buddies to play it with, I probably wouldn't enjoy it solo.
That being said the gameplay to me looks meh and kinda shallow in this game. I'll probably pick it up on a sale at some point regardless.
Question. The test was done with the "Ultra" preset? Is that with or without RT? Because I'd be shocked if a 7900XT can do 60 fps @ 1440p with RT. So I assume the testing was done without RT stuff. But than I'm shocked that even the mighty 4090 struggles without RT. So I'm Confucius, is the test done with or without RT stuff?
The game always has a form of RT enabled just like Avatar which is a shader based solution I believe is similar to software lumen in UE5.... W1z can correct me if I'm wrong.
It's enabled in the console versions as well.
