God of War Ragnarok
Final Fantasy 16
Horizon Forbidden West

God of War Ragnarok
Final Fantasy 16
Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Forbidden West, but my response will be biased as I haven't played the other two due to lack of interest.

However, if you played Zero Dawn and want something different, maybe one of the other two.

Tried Star Citizen again..it still runs poorly but once your away from the planet it smooth out.
Anyway, I'll try again next year

War never changes....so gear up! lost track of how many times i replay this game.

Played a survival horror game recently called You Will Die Here Tonight.
I really enjoyed this. Survival horror is my jam and then some!
The qty of Resident Evil nods and homages is off the scale in this game, but, I love that shit lol!
The downside is it can be relatively short for a even a survival horror game, and doesn't offer as much in the replayability department. No hard mode or perks that can be earned kinda stuff.
Plot of game is like Resident Evil meets SAW in some rouge-lite mashup. Was a neat way to get players to go through playing as different characters. In fact, if you don't do certain things with certain characters, the story just keeps looping telling you clues on what you missed or need to do.

Stopped midway through (nowhere near the middle of full game) story chapters in Kiwami 2 to start Yakuza 0. The first few hours were frustrating going from the newest game engine and mechanics in the series to the oldest. Finally starting to adjust to the combat system(s) enough to actually feel in control. K2 was much better about laser quick aiming that allowed you pick away at everyone around you at will.

Plan is to push through the main/side story trajectory of 0-6 and leave all the extraneous mini-games that aren't immediately engaging. Intent is this will be the last time I spam this series since it's been overly apparent how much enjoyment is being had.

I actually really like the realism green filter adds to the inner city. The licensed stores with theme songs and products actually work really well too. Highly considering modding the later games to add back in all the licensed content removed for Western releases.

Finally got into Dying Light 2 but only runs smooth with DX11 on my rig @ 3440X1440 165Hz, now if I can only stop being killed by lunatic zombies at night I might get past the first stages of the game! This parkour stuff is testing my reflexes...

For a long time, the original Resident Evil 4 (PSN version on PS3), had to start from the beginning as I had no save games.

edit: I mixed that to PC version, looks like I haven't played on PS3 at all since I got a trophy instantly.

Star Citizen, no tutorial which means idk where to go, lol. So I'm just wandering the planet.
FPS between 45 and 75.

Now back to Night City

Warhammer 40K: Rouge Trader, and there are far more and longer loading screens than I would have thought. Other than that so far it's good.

And ohhhh it's one of those old school games that have your characters run into traps they are aware off.

"[Brutally maim him] for doing what you commanded" ohhhhhhhhhhh WH40K yes

Bugger Dying Light 2 now, like I mentioned before in this thread.
The original Dying Light with the DLC's is the go for me now. This after getting the game 2 + yrs ago & arriving at a part in the MQ where I could not open a power box to flick a switch, the "F" key thing was not working so got stuck there & could not continue. Complained on the steam forums & I was not alone in this problem... but now with updates even to the original Dying Light, its all good now.
Fantastic game, keeps you on your toes! :D

Playing Blood West, which is a stealth action horror somewhat low-res comic art style game. That was a mouthful to say. It's fun! I think I died 10 times in the first hour.

Also, I had to get Star Wars Outlaws, which I'm also playing. Just being able to play a normal person in that universe around fairly normal other people was too good of a scenario to pass up.

TRII on a tablet on a plane from Barcelona.
Getting used to the on screen controls is half the battle!

I couldn't. Its really an owlcat game. I got fed up after five rounds of combat. Its so godawfully tedious and slow.

I'm stuck in this peasant alternative now...
See those yellow numbers? My character is somewhere under there, among the pile of bodies

This shit is like cocaine its that good. ARPG Itemization heaven, great crafting system, item socketing/modification +++. Thanks @kapone32 ... This game cannot be missed if you have some Warhammer affinity and played Diablo and had fun at some point.

I stuck with bolter weapons (Boltgun and a Bolt Pistol + Chainsword) because maximum flavor points and it does not disappoint. Triggered abilities from gear let me clear entire screens with massive explosions and thunderstrikes.

Its even on sale.

Yeah DL1 has that immersive atmosphere going on. It has something special.

Star Wars Outlaws

And people say this looks fantastic? Do you think it does? I'm seeing generic dull areas with very expensive effects, so yeah, shadows render correctly, but then there are various low res textures and tons of objects with meh shaders... and there's a haze effect indoors that looks like something from the first Serious Sam...

I'm lost, honestly. 45 FPS for this. It'd be hilarious if it wasn't such a sad state of affairs. 430W GPU power needed.:kookoo:

Staph, I'm quite tempted to pick that up now that its on a sale.
Does it worth picking up only the base game tho?

Bluetooth controller. Should be some built-in controls.
Yeah, most mobile ports of known games work flawlessly with a controller. I remember playing Life is Strange on phone* with a Xbox One S controller.

*on an Android phone but should work with iOS too. Need to test that later.

Yeah the DLC is a lot of filler nonsense I believe, bar one or two exceptions. End game is Void Crusades, and those are great, at the end of them its raining loot, no DLC missions come close.

Trying out KCD. The game looks fantastic for such an old title, though it's really punishing for the cpu in certain areas. I was getting 45fps drops on 4070S at ultra high+max lod/object draw distance in the village, did some quick googling and it turns out even 10900k +5GHz is not enough for 60, let alone my stock 10700....
If anyone has this game installed, can you please confirm what cpu it takes for the game to stay at 60+ in these locations ?
the situation looks pretty bad even on latest hw, looks like it's more ram speed dependent than anything else.
