The old Acer i3 laptop of my daughter had screen hinge issues for quite some time. And of course the inevitable happened, the LCD screen got broken.
It being a cheap laptop, it's not worth repairing, so a replacement was required.
With her digital life restricted to only the smartphone

To prevent from further drama, I decied to give a disbursement and ordered for her an Asus Vivobook 15, looked like a nice price for the specs

Never had an Asus notebook, but hope this one will last a couple of years, note she does only simple games on it but for the majority office, browsing, movies and a little streaming.
From the pictures the hinges of the screen look a little sturdier than on the Acer, more alike my HP Probook where i'm typing this on.
Time will tell.
