Doesn't matter all that much, I got a 4K display for my quality bias. The only problem is I never decided on the layout but that's up to me.

An Intel WiFi card because AMD RZ616 is no bueno, a 5-pack of P14 PWMs, and a classic by The Hip on vinyl because it was in the same shipment and matched the WiFi box .

good move sticking with wifi 6e, i read several reviews of wifi 7 and in a few scenarios 6e is faster and more stable still, because 6e is a dedicated separate connection, but wifi 7 is more traditional like wifi 6 (i don't understand all the technical details) but yeah wifi 7 seems really like no ty I will skip.

The old Acer i3 laptop of my daughter had screen hinge issues for quite some time. And of course the inevitable happened, the LCD screen got broken.
It being a cheap laptop, it's not worth repairing, so a replacement was required.

With her digital life restricted to only the smartphone o_O, panic was in the air .
To prevent from further drama, I decied to give a disbursement and ordered for her an Asus Vivobook 15, looked like a nice price for the specs :shadedshu:.

vivobook 15.jpg

Never had an Asus notebook, but hope this one will last a couple of years, note she does only simple games on it but for the majority office, browsing, movies and a little streaming.
From the pictures the hinges of the screen look a little sturdier than on the Acer, more alike my HP Probook where i'm typing this on.
Time will tell.

I couldn't resist. I got the whole discography of the vienna symphony orchestra project. 11 CD's. Used in the state of good or very good for only 48€. The first LP i got presented as a boy was one of them.

An example of their music: Brothers in arms -

They we're copied a lot of times but they have been never reached.

A faulty GTX 1060 3gb.
I bought it used and i did not check the package on delivery because it was raining.
Paid 200 RON for it (40,19 EUR) (44,71 $) (33,46 GBP).

Buy used they said.
It's gonna be cheaper they said.

It usually is. Sadly there are less than honest people out there who will sell junk to unsuspecting buyers.

Based on those photo's that might be fixable. If you were local to me I'd have a quick and reliable fix for you. Maybe you can find someone local who can help you fix it up? The power connector being broken looks like the main problem as Windows only throws out that error when the GPU is unstable and with that broken power connector, you would likely be have power stability issue which would cause that kind of crash.

Not very high tech, but I couldn't resist this Citizen Eco Drive watch which never needs a battery replacement because it charges from virtually any light source.
Brilliant!

Kind of bummed. My WD AN 1500 gave up the ghost. It is still under warranty but the original drives are in systems that have long since been sold. I am not sure if it is the controller on the WD card or the Team SSDs I have installed. I was looking for a 4TB drive and saw some SSDs around the $250 mark but nice drives like the NV2 are now over $339. I was on Newegg and then checked Amazon. This is what I settled with.

Even has a 5% off coupon as it is a lightning deal. 1800+ reviews at 4.5 stars help as well.

Upgraded the PSU today, kinda went overboard and got the 1500w BeQuiet Straight Power 12.

I also managed to short out the RGB strip on the GPU, I am such an idiot lol

Nice watch, but there is a catch, sometimes the capacitor needs to be replaced and it´s not cheap to do so, enjoy it :)

Hey, but don´t worry maybe yours going work just fine for a long time, just make sure the gaskets and seals are fine, ok? :)

In an impulse I also bought a Xiaomi Watch 2 at a shopping mall in Barcelona and I won't be checking the gaskets and seals on this one either.

Bought 2 things for an office pc i have in my home.

open box/resealed MSI PRO H610M-E motherboard for 205 RON (41,20 EUR) (45,48 $)
open box/resealed Intel core i5-12400F processor for 430 RON (86,41 EUR) (95,39 $)

Prices are final and include VAT + shipping

I also have an 12500T cpu and i like it.
Everything runs on it and its faster than xbox series x/ps5 cpu (even i3 12100f should be).
6 real cores, not mobile cores. (+ HT).
And it's not AMD, so all usb ports work :).
If only the gpu market wasn't so bad i would have a graphics card too.
