Mm, I think you are probably misremembering. Intel IOT offerings are Atom based mostly and those had support since Silvermont which was… 2013-ish, if memory serves?
Besides, we discussed this before and I have tested it already back at work - the LTSC version behaves as expected and doest boot on devices without POPCNT. The kernel is one to one standard 24H2. However MS chose to name the edition doesn’t really matter here.
But yeah, it’s all really just discussion for discussion sake - fact of the matter is that anyone unironically trying to use CPUs this old for a modern OS should really get the message that upgrade time has kinda come.

I tend to wait 3 months to slipstream KB cumulative update on each Feature Update. It'll be decembre or january for me.

Infact the Home edition has all what's needed for gamig, no need Pro at all, right (2x16gb RAM) ?

In fact, microsoft is late to the party on this one. Linux(and everything based on it) made this transition a couple years ago. Apple did the same before that.
Depends on the distro. Most source based distros still let you target hardware all the way back to the original 386, but they aren't near as user friendly. Outside that, some legacy distros probably build their images without POPCNT, but amongst binary distros it is pretty rare.

Cdw sells single license keys for iot... simple enough...

That's actually an authorized retailer. Got a link? I may take that offer. Hopefully its not some bizarre marketplace situation.

Well, guess I was correct in my assumption why the update arrived on Monday:
To clear up any confusion, as someone stated in the comments to the article already - if you installed the update yesterday and NOT on 26th when it was (apparently) launched you should be in the clear. I certainly haven’t encountered any issues with it on multiple machines.

ESD are more compressed (hence the size difference) and are encrypted. Can be decrypted to ISO for install media creation via Rufus purposes.

It kind of looks like a bizarre marketplace situation. It seems that this listing (among others) is provided to CDW by an outfit called Advantech. I guess it's probably legal? Otherwise one wouldn't think an outfit like CDW would take the risk.

Greymarket split up KMS keys are the only way to get smaller quantities
Grey in some countries, totally black (illegal) in most others. Typically license agreements clearly state they cannot be split and sold off in small chunks. This is because they are metered (and audited) so organizations buy only what they need. And that is actually good because it means if a company needs 501 licenses, they don't have to buy 1000 - they can buy just 501. And it should be noted the organizations who originally purchase these licenses agreed to abide by those license agreements.

It should also be pointed out that member nations of the UN agree to abide by the copyright protection laws of each other member countries. But of course, agreeing to abide is totally different than agreeing to enforce.

Advantech is a MS authorized distributor of IoT according to this page:

View the files inside and see for yourself. But it's a kernel component and from what I saw around, relatively important, so probably best to not try to remove it.

Can someone on clean install of 24H2 do me a favor? download firefox, install ublock origin, and then login to an outlook email (no extension, just the regular outlook website), it give me infinite loop and I have no idea why

I would happily do so, but I have no Outlook stuff of any kind. I'm a ThunderBird guy.

I'm not saying the Outlook app though, I am just saying going to the outlook website and logging in to an email. it doesn't matter, Vivaldi browser works fine. I just thought it was strange, everything else works fine on Firefox in 24H2 except that.

Not on my main PC either, but the last time a big update dropped (22H2, to be precise) I got it offered in, like, January. Obviously I could have sped up the process and roll it up myself without waiting for WinUpdate, but… meh.

Ah, a store app. I don't use the microsoft store.

I looked into this. It seems microsoft is deliberately discriminating against FireFox. Sadly there's no evidence of this yet, but the situational info seem to lean very much in that direction. Not sure what else to tell you. I would recommend Iron( https://www.srware.net/iron/ ) which is a security and privacy focus compiled version of Chromium.

Have you tried ThunderBird( https://www.thunderbird.net/ )?
