I bought a 2006 MacBook Pro 15" A1150 almost a whole month ago now but just now got around to poking around at it. I am generally not a Mac person, however I got to interact with this generation of MacBook a few months ago and absolutely loved it, so I went out and bought one. In my classic fashion I bought the cheapest possible one I could find, paid $13 for it at eBay auction.
A little worse for wear. It was dirty and covered in tape residue, but the real issue is that its missing EVERY SINGLE SCREW that holds the bottom case together. Basically the thing just falls apart if you try and use it.

For the time being, I cleaned it up and did a little

There are more photos attached, didn't want to spam any more as embeds. It seems to be fully functional except that the slot loading drive eats discs and just makes angry noises instead of ejecting it, although it did play the disc fine. I had to disassemble it to recover my poor CD. The display works but has a lot of blemishes and yellowing, and the top case is very scratched. The white background of the apple logo is peeling up from within the top case. The ram cover is also missing on the bottom, as is a battery.
I have ordered a screw kit to fix the main issue, but honestly I am trying to fix this up on a budget so the other things can wait, if I ever fix them at all.
