Thanks for the help! That seems like a nice one, but it's a bit pricey for what I'm looking for. How about something around $30-40?

I don't think you're going to find anything cheaper unless you start looking on AliExpress for clones/knock-offs. All the hotend only options start around $60.

It doesn't look the same as the one on the Creality site, so it's probably an older version. I assume it's legit since that is being sold by Amazon and ships from Amazon.

At my predator originally a V5 Hotend was installed. I changed that to a Volcano HotEnd. Also i had a Phaeton installed. My Volcano wasn't an original E3D. But a set like that: https://www.amazon.de/Upgrade-Volcano-Hotend-Heatbreak-Drucker/dp/B0B2VR11NY I had to print a new Printhead to take the Hotend. Later i bought an original Duet Effector to take the hotend and to have an calibrating device. I was quite satisfied with that clones.

Spider is a one-piece print, and works well when scaled down. No brim, no support, 25% infill, 4 walls.

You can, but that's an engineering project I don't want to bother with. You can buy devices that are setup read-to-go to process it back into filament, but that's thousands of dollars for even small volume processors.

And we're printing in nylon-CF.

Now it just needs to be mounted.

I used some pieces of 0.2mm silicone sheet to level out the cliffs. This is as good as it'll get without a bed switch, me thinks.

It prints Fiberon PA612-CF like a dream. I've printed some cooling upgrades and an improved bed cable support. I annealed the parts after coating them in a high temp clear coat (hopefully prevent it from absorbing any moisture (what little there is here).

Yes. The abrasive materials like CF, GF, glow in the dark, and a couple others are what you'll need a hardened steel nozzle for.

ABS you will definitely want an enclosure for and you'll want to up your infill on. PETG will be relatively easy to print with.

i had an ouchie on my motorbike. Being ~10 years old now, cant really find parts. So i have to fix the fairings myself. 3d printed a mesh to use as strengthening !

And ding, fries are done. The placement is less than ideal, but I think it'll work for now since it shouldn't be running all that much as long as I preheat the chamber. I may look at creating a hanging mount for it since the frame holding the enclosure would be able to support it. Ideally, I'd want to the probe set to the opposite corner of the heater to better judge when the overall chamber temperature is up to the set value.
