One of the running jokes is the British sailed the world over for spices for their bland food. ;)
With not much success, it seems.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. :ohwell:

Ehm... Ok. I somehow fail to see how it's not just a watch, but each to their own.

Ehm... Ok. I somehow fail to see how it's not just a watch, but each to their own.

its not just any watch, Its an M&S watch.

Casio:

"The bezel, made of recrystallized hybrid titanium, evokes the distinctive edge pattern forged by master swordsmith Kamiyama Teruhira. The pattern is crafted with recrystallized layers of pure and Ti64 titanium that is cut, polished, and treated with a deep-layer hardening process to capture the pattern’s unique characteristics."

"Subtle differences in materials and processing conditions, as well as the inscription of 燦, the Japanese character for San, hand-etched on the case back by the master himself, mean that each timepiece has its own utterly unique look, no two alike. "

"After recrystallization and deep-layer hardening processes, blue-grey AIP® is applied to the pure titanium center case to express the blue of the Juryoku-Maru: San sword. "

"The watch band features the aogai-nuri blue shell lacquer design by artist Nomura Mamoru, which adorns the Juryoku-Maru: San scabbard, achieved using a processing technology developed especially for this timepiece. Aogai-nuri refers to the mother-of-pearl inlay used so often in Japanese sword scabbards. "

"The titanium alloy DAT55G band is finished with a structural color technique that utilizes micro-level ultra-precision processing to create iridescent colors inspired by aogai-nuri blue shell lacquer. Three times harder than pure titanium, the DAT55G special alloy protects from scratches and wear, to keep the stunning mirror-finished surface and structural color flawless for years. "

"Kamiyama Teruhira A young swordsmith of exceptional talent, Kamiyama leads the world of katana in modern Japan. Kamiyama’s pursuit of the strength and beauty of the Japanese sword mirrors the Casio vision for G-SHOCK, and it was for this reason that Casio commissioned the katana master craftsman to forge an original G-SHOCK sword, the Juryoku-Maru: San. "

"Nomura Mamoru Third generation head of SAGARADEN NOMURA in Kyoto. Nomura entered the family business at the age of 20. Having studied urushi lacquer techniques, he performs every step of the process from painting to ornamentation (mother-of-pearl inlay and metallic powder maki-e) himself. In 2018, Nomura received the Japan Traditional Crafters Chairman’s Award for his lacquer natsume (matcha caddy). "

And then this sort of ruins it.

I went to Plymouth today to see the UK's biggest aquarium, got really lucky on the weather, was sunny for a good portion of the time there, even though clouds were all around the sun. Nice lighthouse and harbor. Good for a day trip, I doubt I ever go back though. Everything is just so expensive, my trips are going to be few this visit. It's not as nice as Cornwall of course, but nothing is really. I'm sure Scotland is probably the best place in the UK in the summer, but have to have plenty of money for petrol and rent a car to experience that fully, so that will never happen on my end. So Cornwall is still my top place in the UK so far, tintagel castle on a sunny day is *chef's kiss*

The train ride from Exeter to Plymouth was pretty though, you get to see the ocean, plenty of beautiful rolling green hills, Powderham Castle (I might be spelling that wrong, but it was nice looking from the train window). I plan to ride a few more trains to various places, just for scenic train rides. I plan to take a steam train as well at some point.

damaged my hand 7 days ago, went to non emergency dept, 2 days after i did it, i cant bend my left index finger from the knuckle, and had xray, nothing broken, she told me to come back after 4 days, which i did. Was seen by a injury practitioner, i saw the xray, deffo nothing broken, she said its probably something to do with the ligaments, now its the same and it's been 8 days tomorrow. How long do i wait till i go back, or see my doctor?

If it is ligaments then it's about 4 - 6 weeks for a finger I think, as I read your post it sounded to me like a dislocation as I had one once where the end of a finger from the last knuckle was almost 45 degrees, the doc thought it was dislocated but said to leave it for a couple of weeks and it would go back naturally but when I got home I forced it back, it hurt a bit and made a click but within a few hours all the pain was gone.

I agree that Scotland is probably the best place for a road trip in the UK, but Wales is pretty nice, too. The north side of it is full of old castles in good condition, if you're into that sort of stuff.

If it's a dislocation, then putting it back is the best thing to do, right? Waiting 4-6 weeks for it to "go back naturally" sounds daft to me.

It's not dislocated, got slight swelling behind knuckle, can't bend it more than 45 degrees, felt tight and hurts more the more I try to bend it. 4-6 weeks, that's a bummer. Swelling is circled, might be hard to see but it is. Hand hurts all the time just depends how much I bend my finger or use my hand.cant bend finger more than on first pic.

That's probably a bruise or pulled muscle/ligament. In that case, you can put a cold compress on it, but there's nothing much else you can do. What did you do to it?

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt.

Apparently with fingers they are more prone to breaking if forced, I only went for it because I don't pick my nose much :D

this garlic butter from sainsburys, plus cheesy slices, and white bread, cook on hob flipping back and forth until cheese is melted between the bread and the bread is nice and crunchy = 9/10 snack, the garlic in the butter really gives it that extra kick, i just cooked two sandwiches tonight. however, your bread is so damn big here i have to cut off the bottom part of it to match the cheese slice square size

Flora is usually a margarine spread and not actual butter (seed oil, usually "rapeseed" with "some buttermilk" it's gross) I only buy REAL butter these days as they have replaced sunflower oil in most products with rapeseed oil, they use it in the US for everything as well as artificial colours and corn syrup/processed sugars, those 3 things are the main reason for the obesity epidemic in the US, UK and EU seem to be following the trend, guess shaving £ from your bottom line is more important than you customers health..

I use butter instead of margarine because it tastes better. For frying, I tend to get sunflower or peanut oil if I can. It gives a nice, fried taste to your food. Olive oil for salads. Rapeseed oil tastes like nothing. I don't get why so many YouTube chefs obsess over "neutral tasting oil" like avocado. Yuck!

It's not dislocated, got slight swelling behind knuckle, can't bend it more than 45 degrees, felt tight and hurts more the more I try to bend it. 4-6 weeks, that's a bummer. Swelling is circled, might be hard to see but it is. Hand hurts all the time just depends how much I bend my finger or use my hand.cant bend finger more than on first pic

I did not know Flora meant margarine in the UK, interesting how vastly those two different words are. Usually I am ok navigating American English vs British English, but sometimes a surprise comes along once in awhile, and that is one of them!

I will try to find a butter one infused with garlic, I'm too lazy to do it myself.

Confusing me here now, I thought Flora is a brand which sells butter and margarine.
I mean...you have butter which is a spreader? Margarine is also a spreader? The main difference between them according to Google is butter is made from dairy and Margarine is made from veg oil.
Then you have baking butter.

as an serial cookie and flapjack baker, there is no such thing as baking butter, Butter is butter unless its coco butter. Both margarine and butter have products that are spreadable and less spreadable.

Well looking at the ingredients to stork "baking" butter, I guess it's technically a fancy margarine.
