Well, the only "tech" stuff I've bought lately (BF/CyMon deals) was:

A) 36x of 32GB-DDR5-6400 sticks for upcoming client builds
B) 18x of WD 850x's in the 4 & 8TB sizes, also for upcoming client builds
C) 2x Pixel 9 Pro XL's
D) 2x G613's for my work set-up

However, I also grabbed some new DeWalt 20V tools & accessories for my garage (at shockingly low bundle + freebie prices), a new Air Fryer, a new set of tires for my Expedition, and a whole buttload of Gift Cards for da fam

FYI, in case anyone is wondering, these purchases were funded via my company's very generous year-end boonuses ($10k- we had a great year), my hidden savings account that nobody knows about, and the sizable promo credit from my recent mortgage re-fi

And the nice thing is, I will get a lot the money back once I complete those new client rigs in Jan/Feb '25 !

Scored an Arc A750 for a bargain price, substantial cuts from MSRP going now with the Arc range after B580 launch. My primary reason for this card is not specifically for gaming although its fairly good back up card just in case...

Install all done in my system that has a lapped 7600X with custom HS install & alongside custom heat spreaders on my G.Skill Flare X5 kit of RAM as well (G.Skill heat spreaders are garbage imo for there line of DDR5 ram), but I digress - with the install of the Sparkle card the whole system makes a rather nice blend of black/white aesthetic with a "sprinkle" of gold from the RAM heat spreaders!

Not exactly tech purchases, but tech adjacent? These came today, spent a good deal of time swapping out my vanilla PS5 controller with the Wukong shell.....hope I did a good job. Below is my PS5 controller with the Wukong shell + and the Wukong stand/mount. This is my homage to the true GOTY, not the fake one on the Games Award nonsense.

Also got a set of 3 Wukong keycaps, plus I believe an Astartes metal keycap and Calcifer (from Howl's Moving Castle).....

Thank you. My onboard nic is fine, it's a brand new mobo with 2 year warranty. The i210 is taken off a server machine, comes with six months warranty and cost me ~€20 with the shipping. I plan on carrying it on, until there are drivers for it

Grabbed this used 3080, decent price too... buuut the smell... ugh like a dust bowl.

Took it apart, cleaned it with alcohol and left the parts outside overnight, it had been repasted but the paste job was so-so with a few spots with almost 0 paste, gained about 6-7 degrees iddle, avg temps under full load went down maaybe 1 or 2c but avg temp to hotspot delta went down from ~15c to ~10c now.

Ive done about an hour of gaming now, but nah, not quite, avg was ~69-70 down to mid 60's now and the hotspot was ~84 and I havent seen it go above 78 after repasting.
Ordered some geild pads (1.5mm/2mm/3mm) since mem hotspot is at 88-90c pretty much all the time.

(Yes it may be OTT as its not a Gen 5 drive but in summer. Ambient temps are going to be 27-32'c+ here so Im preparing for it)
