Best palm grip mouse I've ever used - Logitech G500, I bought mine in 2009 and the wire is making the mouse malfunction on and off in the last few weeks. :(

Prior to the Logitech G500, I had the G5 and before that the MX518 and MX510, all the same shape, very comfy for gaming in palm grip.

I'm not sure what I'm going to buy next, I did try the G502, but it's not very suited for palm grip even with my small piano hands. I might try the Razer Basilisk V3, although I've read the scroll wheel stops working properly eventually . . . design flaw?

just cut 4 inches from the wire (the end which attaches to the mouse) and solder it back. I did this to my G400 a few years back. still works. Best mouse ever.

I use my G400 in clawgrip though. Since my palm is quite big lol.

Open the mouse, and replace the full cable with another usb cable from other mouse, usually mouse USB cables uses a standard connector. my G400 had the same issue and replaced with a cable from a $5 logitech mouse

I have this too. It's very utilitarian and the sensor is accurate enough for my work but the spread of the side buttons feels a bit, maybe 20% too big for my thumb. Usually rests between the front portion of the rest pad, the spaces between 4-5-7-8. Would be nice if the button circle was choked forward a little more and shrunk a good 25% or something. Otherwise super comfy.

the king of kings for me is the Logitech G303 (old version they don't make anymore) and having a unique grip on it, basically I hold it by the end of the glossy end in a hybrid palm grip still (makes me super accurate in games) the new 303 is junk imo, without that glossy tail end it just doesn't work for the unique way I hold it. luckily my g303 is in a ziploc bag and I take very good care of it :D

I know many will hate on this, but I can not live without my Razer Naga, and my sister feels the same way. We both use Naga 90% of the time. It takes about 6 months to master the side buttons, after many many years of having 12 side buttons, I am super fast in any game now, especially MMO's. The great thing about the Naga, if you never have to use the software, it sees the 12 keys as a number row automatically, and the DPI changes on the top buttons also are to my liking. So, I never bother installing that bloatware.

Runner up for me is the Microsoft Sidewinder mouse, I used it for many years before giving it to my mom, she still uses it and it works perfect... guess they just don't make'em like they used to.

1732793684367.png

a third place winner for me is a mouse I don't own, but wish I did (they don't make it anymore) the WoW Cata mouse, I tried it once in store many years ago, and it fit my hand perfectly

Logitech M705 for me. The original one, not the current version. For the money....battery life for years, hyper scroll, THUMB BUTTON! I was SO happy with that mouse. Currently using the Marathon M720, it's successor and it's also a great mouse, but the price point is also different.

I've been lovin' :peace:on these Logitech Pro Superlight and Superlight 2's. I got a DEX model also. I got a POWERPLAY mouse pad to go with one of my new Superlight 2 on the Simmer and really like that charge it gives me.

So yeah Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 for sure. The only "modern" and "gaming" mouse I've ever had is the Logitech G602 I have now and it's good but on the heavy side. After 5 years the scroll click button is getting a bit wonky, I should really disasemble it an clean thoroughly, but I dread getting it back together properly.

So I did take it apart and clean it and the scroll button was better for a few weeks. Definitely time to replace it.

This may be controversial but I need a mouse with the DPI clutch so my options are somewhat limited. I tried EVERY mouse with a DPI clutch...like...every_SINGLE_one.

They all had some totally unique flaw that was just so hard to get over. Either the clutch was too far forward for my thumb, or the scroll wheel felt gritty and chunky, or the button's edges were sharp.

The only one that worked and I immediately knew it was "the one" was the Roccat Kone XP. The easy shift button is just so effortless to use for sniping and 4 thumb buttons made customizing controls in games so much better.

It's very underrated IMO.

I have an xtd, need to figure out what to use to remove the goo from the design of the satin coating used on it.

Turtlebeach/Roccat makes a fine product.

I loved my Logitech G5 2007
Unfortunately at the later days of its life I think the cable was starting to break internally as it would occasionally cut out briefly
I think I foolishly threw it away rather than keeping it as a treasured relic

Had to do that with my Steel Series Wireless, even got a second one too( secondhand and cheap ) just in case the double click syndrome started but still waiting after about 4-5 years for it to do it. No other mouse lasted me over 14 months.
