nGreedia GEforce 6800 Ultra AGP tested... There is even higher end model, Ultra Extreme, not sure what was the deal with this, as usually there is only the Ultra at the top, and nothing else... Prob ATi had some Radeon that was quite fast at the time, so they released Extreme version of the Ultra... Dont know, will be nice if someone that do know to share...
The upper DVI port has no signal, i bet some component/ components did die for it, so it does not work now...

One of the best AGP cards ever made!

Quick google search and immediately found a Hercules GTS with DVI :p

I love his channel and video's! Great stuff!

Welp i would not go as far to say it is the best AGP card, as i like many more AGP cards for sure... There is also 3Dfx Voodoo V 5500, or cards like Radeon 9700 Pro, Radeon x800XT Platinum or Radeon 8500 with the ATi tru form, or GEforce IV Tai4600 beloved card by many, i also like the FX5900XT series... There are ofc also bizarre cards such as XGI Volari V8 x2 or Hercules Prophet 4500 powered by PowerVR Kyro II, that chip was amazing, it was SO efficient, it was able to beat up cards like the GEforce II GTS ( i just got lately), with half of the resources, die to tile based rendering, that thing was huge, meaning if they did continue, and released as strong as the GEforce cards, they would beat them to a pulp... Sadly PowerVR left the market as many others did like MatroX, S3, Rendition, TSeng and others... Speaking about Rendition, that company was so promising, they did match the Voodoo 1 with the Verite 1 card, sadly they did bankrupt and could not even release Verite III....

I like LGR, and other channels too like Pixel pipes.... But this single LGR video was just so good. I bet someone from this forum or Vogons managed to get inside Computer Reset in Texas and explore the heaven of retro HW... Insane video so far i dont know about another channel/ video like this... Too bad i could not go myself there and explore, i could stay for a week or two and prob die from hunger/ thirst...

Huh i did also watch Bits und Bolts, did forget the name, but now after looking at its profile, seems its the same channel... Like how he repair stuff...

BitUndBolts and LGR are not the same. Or maybe I misunderstood you. Both are really good though, just for very different reasons.

My bad i mean my mind is chaotic, so it is hard to explain stuff most of the time... I did mean that i have seen only on LGR channel video like this computer reset, and no one else did cover this, or another insane warehouse, or anything like that, or at least i did not found one... BUB is for repairs, but i enjoy his videos...

ELSA Gladiac 920, pure GEforce III

I wonder did ELSA build this, or if not who the OEM is, as when i did stash the GF II GTS in the nVIDIA box, i did look at the other models i have, and i saw the build quality of that ELSA card, and it is insane... The MSI red MX440 is is also high build quality, but the ELSA is next level... So i wonder if someone knows who made that ELSA... Maybe the made in USA have something to do with that...

Seems so, tho the next gen GF4 and GF5 with the black PCB, they had garbage build quality... So who was the OEM for the reference cards back then, maybe MSI, but i dont see MS9863 on the card as on Creative cards... Also made in USA, nVIDIA cards are usually made in Taiwan, not USA...

- MSI MS-5169

Wasn't practically every Creative card a MSI card with just a Creative sticker slapped on and maybe having a different vBIOS?

Yes they are. You can see on about every or most Creative card MS8934 (random number)...

These Creative cards on other hand dont have MS8956 on them, so who knows... Same with Creative Voodoo II cards...

On this card you can see the MS with number.. Same with the top card with fan, Creative have one of these with their logo..

Probably they made their cards themselves at first but then switched to MSI as OEM for their cards. I remember having this Creative FX 5600 Ultra which was also a rebranded MSI. That N1996 text is basically in every MSI product (at least on those I've seen (though not in that card on your pic, weird)

Yes the N1996 is on every MSI motherboard the green ones mostly... MSI also had the dip with arrow thing in some products... Seems some have both MS- random number and N1996, others have only one of the two... Who knows who made the earlier Creative cards, considering the build quality was prob someone like Diamond...

This one is also MSI GF FX5200, but it has no MS and no N1996... Yet it has the dip with arrow and 8930 number, that should have the MS- in front of it..

More IBM goodness... Years back when i got one single IBM Model M Gen 3 with permanent cable, i did not think i would be able to obtain IBM Model F XT even, did not think at all about even IBM Model M122... And here i am today, not only having one, but many... Most ppl would get mad, but the thing is i save the stuff from certain death and the scrap, as this is where they would go otherwise... There are more stuff i will get in the near future...

X2 IBM PS/2 Model 70 i think these were, few Model M and Model F battle ships, few IBM mices, also original IBM key removers, they are too white i think compared to the keyboards huh...

20250131_185452.jpg20250131_185526.jpg

These M122 B$ are both brand new, and also very terminal with the telephone RJ jacks lol...
20250131_191005.jpg

Does anyone know if these IBM vintage drives are any good for anything, as they are from racks, with too many HDDs, and from the looks of it, these drives are waaaay too IBM proprietary, and i dont think they can be used for something, as the whole god damn rack is so big and heavy, most of us dont have space to store this kind of shit.... I dont think they can be used in most even IBM machines, as they use smaller drivers, not these bricks..

Software W11 Pro 64 bit
My Windows 98 SE CD.
I recently threw a W98 and W95 disc out, and a heap of original floppies with drivers on them. I couldn't be bothered keeping or trying to sell them

Seriously? That is deeply troubling.. Do you not understand the value of those discs?
I had to throw them out as they weren't mine to keep, it troubled me too.
If I had offered to buy them it wouldn't be worth the cost to me to try to resell them.
I still have XP, Vista and a few other OS discs of my own.
