Overclockers UK have sent out a mailshot saying it'll be 3-16 weeks for new stock of 5090s to arrive, and 2-6 weeks for 5080s.

errr.. probably. Maybe the 5080 Astral could be bought at that price.

The 5090 in canada is 3600.00 Um ya no forget that. Sorry Nvidia a Ps5 Pro is cheaper and can play games just fine at 4k. these prices are only for rich people now. Nvidia does not care for gamers anymore as you can see in the reviews of these card. They only care in ripping us off.

That is absolutely nuts. Nvidia could've just waited until there was enough stock for a great launch. The 4090 launch was excellent here in the U.S. and there were enough cards for everyone.

Well, the us always gets priority (one of many reasons that makes the us hard to like these days as a dane). There was far from enough stock in denmark - most people were waiting months on 4090's.

Not a chance that card will be well over $3K with taxes here That's more way more then I spent on the rest of the computer. And what do I need it for I'll be happy with a 5070 Ti or maybe a 5080. Depends on prices here None of the 50 series have even been listed at any Canadian retailer that I can find so far.
Ya 3600.00 for a video card at Canada Computers. I can buy a whole car for that price. Or a used motorcycle. It's really sad that Nvidia basicly does not care for gamers anymore. All about the stupid A.I. which btw deepseek did for 100 times cheaper. Nvidia really needs some new company to start wiping the floor with them. Feels so like the 90's all over again. Nvidia and AMD card prices insane and with lackluster performance then a new company came along called 3dfx and totally destroyed both of them showing them a tech that was state of the art. We really need one of those moments again. A new company in video card that would spank both of them. Cheaper, ten times the performance and ten times less wattage maybe not even have a PCI-E power plug just run off the board.

There isn't a single game in the world that requires anything anywhere near an RTX 5090's level of computing power, and sincerely good luck editing, modeling, doing LLMs and AI on a PS5 Pro. Not to mention the PS6 itself won't be anywhere near as powerful as this thing is.

It's just not for you and there's no shame in admitting that you can't afford one or have your budget compromised with living expenses or something. I've spent months carefully planning my budget to place my order and I barely scraped by getting the cheapest of them myself... it's not a ripoff, adverse market conditions definitely suck but it's always up to the customer to navigate supply and demand and strike a deal that they agree with. More often than not, that requires the exercise of patience.

Did anyone actually manage to get one? :D
I have a shipping number (not yet shipped) that says I managed to get one of the 15x cards that Mindfactory had in Germany.
So, probably managed to get one??

Though, if the order does end up getting canceled, my bank account, and wife, sure would be a bit happier

I stay away from A.I. Sorry I will not train a A.I. to become a skynet to kill us all which it will come to that or maybe like the Matrix we all be slaves too it. A.I. is like cloning yourself then asking your clone to do all the work for you. Being yourself what do you think your clone would do nothing at all you keep ordering your clone to do it and he then decides well your the one ordering your clone around clone kills you and now guess what you clone is now in charge.

Good price.
I do not think I would call it that

Probably the best price for a RTX 5090 that will be seen out my way for quite some time though.

The problem isn't affording one. The problem is smacking my head against the wall long enough to actually get my intelligence down low enough to buy one at those prices. No thanks I'll put my money on a OLED monitor for now. For me I,d rather contribute more to my retirement fund then spend that kind of money on a video card 3 to 4 K is insane imo for a graphics card . I just looked if you want a AIO 5090 here the top card will cost you $5,000 here with taxes . Yikes o_O

I mean, completely understandable. I already got everything else, including the OLED screen, so I went for the card. I also managed to get mine at my country's official NVIDIA suggested MSRP, so probably not getting a better deal than that

I'm 31, will start worrying about my retirement fund in about 10 years or so :D

In regards to retirement funds, the earlier you start, the better - you will have to put away alot more in 10 years vs if you start now, and put money in pension investment funds.

At the end of the day it's up to a consumer to look at a product and decide if somthing is worth spending money on or not. Not everyone is going to come to the same conclusion and that is ok.

I hope everyone who gets a 5090 more than gets their money's worth out of it regardless of how I feel about the product same as the 5080.

I'm not a huge fan of all the criticism I see thrown at prospective buyers it's ok to criticize the product or say it doesn't offer what we should expect out of a 2000 usd product or whatever but what others do with their money ain't none of our business. I get the sense that there is almost a resentment towards people who choose to buy these products it happens every generation.

People should just buy or don't buy whatever they want. No need to bring others down for making a different decision.

In regards to retirement funds, the earlier you start, the better - you will have to put away alot more in 10 years vs if you start now, and put money in pension investment funds.

Yeah, I started when I was 19 and likely going to retire soon, I'm only 41.... Never bad to start early.
