Trial mountain  - my favorite track. Short but highly technical, ideal for a quick tuning checks. That's Lancer EVO III, IIRC.
The Isamu Ohira's menu music in the original GT game was outstanding, I loved the special tunes for an each manufacturer. Race music OST - not a fan tbh. The GT2 music, overall nah.

I liked the NFS II, NFS III hot pursuit, and NFS IV high stakes soundtracks, I still do.
The latter two were a pinnacle of the racing genre music IMO. Junkie XL, Saki Kaskas, Rom Di Prisco, Crispin Hands - they knew how to do their thing...
The game menu music by Rom Di Prisco in all of those 3 is the iconic signature of the series. There's nothing even remotely close to it nowadays. If someone's interested, just PM me, I'll gladly share link to this FLAC remastered collection:

View attachment 382731
Yes that's an Evo III, well for me the music is good enough to compliment the game, at this point it's mostly nostalgic value to me.

I try the modded GT2 but since they changed the racing OST I can't play it despite that they fixed some of the problem in original game, for example GT300 cars are 400-500hp and GT500 is 600-700hp. For me GT2 Japanese OST is better than the English ones.

With all of Ai hoopla in COD:BO6 mp and the frustration that brings to gameplay has caused me to dump it. I went from the top 0% in the last two COD HC MP and this game with its mid game adjustments have me all over the place. I don't know exactly what they are doing, but there is something and that is unacceptable in a competitive fps game. I have only stopped 2 other COD mp games before the next arrived. This is really the only game I play anymore. I'm in my late 40s, have a family and too many responsibilities to game as much anymore, so I choose a game- typically COD or BF depending on which game is better that round.

Now that I moved on, its BODY CAM for me! Holy crap is this game intense and difficult! Its gonna take me some time to adjust, but I really like it so far. Anybody else playing it?

So anyway I beat Deus Ex Mankind Divided.

Hnnnnngggg easily one of the best Shock-Likes to be released in recent memory. The anti-skyrim, deep as the ocean, wide as a puddle. So many ways to complete objectives, game even intelligently deals with shortcutting quests etc.

God damn shame we'll never see a sequel. If you like stuff like Dishonored, go get the new DX games post haste and have yourself a grand old time.

Problem with these games is they only really get good once you've unlocked your skills. NG+ is just me being a kid in a candy store, but the original run is going to lose a lot of people cause without the upgrades the game is basically a 3rd rate sneak shooter.

That's the next time evolution of the genre, figuring out a way to make the first 3rd of this style of game captivating when the gameplay is going to kinda suck by design.

It is a great game, I think I bounced off it because I was trying to run it on a PC that only managed sub-25 FPS with lots of frame judder and the load times were killer on a hard drive. I remember that the level design and environmental storytelling was superb, just like the original Deus Ex game was and better than Human Revolution (which was also great).

It gave me Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines vibes, which is rare.

-Worth revisiting if you have a modern GPU. My 6800xt ran the game maxed with MSAA (Yep, none of that TAA trash) at 170fps.

The game is gorgeous, really goes to show that raster graphics plateaued around 2016. The game could easily have been released within the last couple years and no one would have batted an eye.

Load times are still brutal, even on my NVME drive, but only the first time you visit a location. It occured to me that the game has to store the location of about 10,000 objects and load up their positions every time you enter an area, and after the first time all that data is stored in RAM and loads up much quicker.

Looking forward to your Shogun 2 adventures. If you want a harder game, pick one of the factions that are located in the middle of Japan instead of either end of the island chain.
You predicted my future after all, finding myself in Shogun 2 again lol

It really is goddamn awesome, its also strangely refreshing to play these far less content-overloaded Total Wars, when coming from years of TW Warhammer which is always a massive array of choices to make, what faction to play, and then what hero, and then figuring out something 'new' to do with them. In the other TW's your focusing far more on all the little details to make stuff work, or something, and there's less choice overall, on the campaign map, too. The lack of asymmetry also makes things a lot harder (I play on Hard btw) as everyone carries similar rocks papers and scissors.

One of the better moments yesterday was beating three full stacks with just two stacks consisting of bow samurai and Yari Ashigaru (50/50 each). The battle was set up as me defending a castle, but with all army reinforcements on the far side of the map, while the enemy could position to surround the castle. Suffice to say it was a race against the clock and I just bolted for the castle walls while my two generals and retinue charged ahead to break through the defense line in front of me which was, luckily, just archers. Broke through and ended up fighting Oda in a split section castle with two sides scaling walls and running up to higher levels - total chaos, but just by winning the race to higher ground, I beat down three superior unit stacks with, mostly, archer fire and knocking dudes off the wall.

Eventually I found myself surrounded after the Realm Divide as clan Oda caught my Daimyo in a citadel and I couldn't fight myself out. Four stacks against one weary from battle already... Lol. Tried to chip them off with outsiders but logistically didn't have my stuff in position in time... and then the AI proceeded to methodically assassinate my generals, so from being all powerful and obnoxious I suddenly went to a massive empire without leadership... And had to plunge my leaderless reinforcements into battles to pray for a general to pop up :D That was the beginning of the end...

So lets try again. :p

Looks awesome. Getting older though and just don't have the reflexes, or whatever, to play online multiplayer shooters reasonably well. <Sad puppy face>
Im 47 and I feel ya. However, with practice (Im lucky if I get an hour a day) you can still compete! I was in the top 0% of players in HC Call of duty MWII and MWIII. It wasn't until BO6 when they messed with players ability mid game that I gave up on it. Ai sucks and if they want a level playing field, they should do it before the match.

BodyCam is pretty hard at first. The aiming is super realistic with barrel sway, body movement and recoil. Hitting your target is very similar to real life as shooting guns accurately is not a easy task, especially under duress.

Higher quality. (Tweaked the Quick Sync encoder recording settings)

You can. If you still have your Halo PC copy, you can download, Halo Custom Edition(100% free) and use it to play customized versions of the single player campaign missions. My personal fav is SCR.
Ill do that tonight. I have the collection on steam and xbox as well as halo 5 for both. Thanks!

That is Halo 1x, indeed! There are a lot of servers up! You need a custom config.txt to delete the Intel graphics ban, because it's from the time where Intel graphics couldn't hold a candle to Nvidia nor ATi. (Yes, when Radeon was still pre-AMD-acquisition) Delete those entries making it assume Intel is subpar IGP, then it will work well with Arc!

I could still play online FPS games well at 47. Add on another 14 years and those reflexes just aren’t there anymore, and they don’t comeback well even when I was putting in two hours a days trying to get better playing a recent team based online shooter. Hope you have better luck!
