The 9070XT must equal at least the 7900XTX now.
Why should it? Perf demands are meaningless without knowing the price.

Totally debloated windows. All security disable. and everything turned off what is unnecessery for gaming.
Yes, let’s run consumer oriented benchmarks in the reviews with an OS setup that in no way reflects what the vast majority of consumers actually uses. Truly, a galaxy brained idea that is in no way going to backfire.
For your information, W1zz already debloats Windows to what he considers a reasonable extent and he even provides his scripts and settings. Here:
Of course, shitposting is easier.

Benchcmarks should be done with my custom OS, I've disabled (on top of everything else), all audio from the system for max FPZ. :toast:

And how do you know other reviews aren't "official AMD fanboy at benchmark? "

That's just humans being humans I'm not sure how people aren't aware that even within the same game results could swing up or down depending on how the area stresses the gpu in more demanding areas the 50 series could get more favorable results but in less demanding areas see regression it's just how it works.

It's why people need to not only check how the games they care about perform but average out results from at least 4-5 reviewers to get a clear picture of how a card might perform for their use case.

People aren't going to be happy regardless of what he does so it doesn't really matter every reviewer has their own best practices for testing so there is always going to be some variance.

Why everyone seems so hyped about 5070TI? It looks like it's only 11% faster than 4070TIS and even it's MSRP isn't that impressive. 4070TIS was selling for $700 last year so it's price to performance ratio was spot on with 5070TI a year ago. All I can see with my rational mind is zero progress hence dissapointment as you get the same frame per $ ratio as a year ago. Plus there is a big shadow over how real NVidia's MSRP really are in today's shitshow of a dGPU market.

A reminder to everyone that Nvidia publicly claimed that this card will match the 4090.
Wrong, citizen.

That was about the yet to be released beast, the non Ti 5070!

Just wait for it! :D

Honestly that's probably the most dissappointing thing to me this series just doesn't move the bar it's like a mulligan of a generation these cards could have all been super refreshes so far.

Basically, we are at a point in time where skipping a gen is the most reasonable thing to do (unless you are upping a model, ie. from 4060ti to 5070ti / 5080 etc.). Else you skip , save your money, buy next gen hoping that the mediocre gen on gen improvements will add up.

Too optimistic for a title when it's 1% at 1080p and 4K and equal at 1440p. "Matching" would be a better word. Even better "Matching 4080 and 7900XTX".

5000 series cards continue to disappoint. 70 TI class not beating older 80 class should be a crime really. 4070TI beat even 3090, 3070TI beat 2080TI and even 2070 non super beat 1080TI (although barely). 5000s series is the worst RTX series so far and they are surprisingly consistent with every card.

Thanks for the reviews. Unfortunately MSRP and stocks are fake like the MFG frames so currently only place we can see these cards is the "Pictures & Teardown" section.

As mediocre as the 5070ti is, it still clearly beats the XTX. They are equal in raster and the 5070ti is 43% faster in RT. Why this is even a debate?

Even if the price was $750 it would still be a terrible decision to purchase it to replace your 4070ti. At best it would be a side grade at that price. Heck even if it cost $600 it would be a bad option for you because you would be wasting $600 for what is essentially 15% more performance after 2 years, literally negligible difference and in most games that would translate to something like 10-15 frames.

You'd ideally want at least 50% more performance for the same or lower price than what you bought your 4070ti for in order to upgrade, anything less than that and its just a side grade at best.

I'd say the 5070ti is DOA, the $750 msrp is a lie and most models are listed at $900 or more, so the cheapest models that you can actually order are $900 with many models going for $1000.

Even at $750 it would be a terrible card, just 15% more performance over its predecessors after a 2 year wait, absolute dog shit!

I got my 3080Ti for around $750, had it for about 2.5 years now.

A 4080 is about 20% faster than my 3080Ti and cost $1200 (the super model gave same performance, but at $1000) - a 20% gain.
A 5080 is about 30% faster than my 3080Ti and costs $1000 - a 10% gain (over the 4080).
So, based on how things have been progressing.....
A 6080 will be about 35% faster than my 3080Ti and cost $1000 - a 5% gain over the 5080.
A 7080 will be about 37.5% faster than my 3080Ti and cost $1000 - a 2.5% gain over the 6080.
An 8080 will be about 38.25% faster than my 3080Ti and cost $1000 - a 1.25% gain over the 7080.

At this rate I'll never have to upgrade again because no card will offer at least a 50% performance gain over my 3080Ti at a similar price I got it for.

Most people have tunnel vision towards raster and that's fine for their own use case but when a card is clearly better at everything else the title fits that doesn't magically make it a good successor to what we've had it only shows how far behind AMD currently is at everything except raster.

What's going to kill this card is the actual street price though which might even land close to the 4080 super smh if not this is a decent upgrade for 3080/3070ti owners or prior but not at $900+

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
The 5070 Ti looks to be a decent option at $749, ruined entirely by how totally unrealistic that price actually is.

I'll be trying my damnedest to get one tomorrow but I'm not overpaying. This is artificial scarcity caused by Nvidia not wanting to waste their precious TSMC allocations on the gaming market, and frankly I'm not interesting in paying more than MSRP without at least seeing what price/availability/performance is like for the 9070XT.

Everyone isn't. In fact, @W1zzard seems to be the only one who is.

The cards got universally panned.

Everything is getting universally panned, because gamers are fed up with the AI market, progress regarding games has been slow, and the only card that can be considered a generational leap is entirely priced out of reach while most don't have 2 nickels to rub together. All of it makes anything less than absolutely flawless, yet affordable bordering on the unacceptable, and gamers will try to get whatever they can fit in their pocket... yet most will be disappointed that there really isn't much of a reason to upgrade, whether because games are getting poisoned with ideology, or because graphics have not evolved, or because there are no meaningful benefits in doing so.

Figures fluctuate a lot between reviewers, blurring the actual perf.

E.g. computerbase has the same figures for raster, but only 17% lead for RT.

TPU seems to be one of the few that do not make fun of the GPU.
