First time I see these. $400....ouch :), look amazing though. Interesting no toslink, but audio USB-C. I saw this on some newer motherboards as well. No optical, but "audio USB-C". Not sure I am on board for that change.
I don't know where you see the price but they are $300 everywhere and usb-c goes into a speaker, but you plug USB-A into a PC. The sound is incredible from these speakers.

Have had a pair of laptops on my "Wish List" since Xmas, but was waiting till after new component releases but .... been having them custom built since last millennium but LPC Digital site is down and haven't found another Clevo seller with equivalent customer satisfaction, prices, and service record... and of course no OS pre-installed.

Ugreen USB-C to HDMI 4K60 cable to get my laptop to run my ultrawide display at native refresh rate instead of 50 Hz that I get with HDMI port. Should be here on Monday.
Update:
Topped out at 85 Hz due to USB-C bandwidth limits (3.1 gen 2 which translates to 10 Gb/s max, 144 Hz would require 18.7 Gb/s. Still, better than 50 Hz.

Well I jumped down the well. Once I got it setup it was insane how different the experience is. now those reclined seats make so much sense to me.

Bought Nintendo Switch hall effect joystick for my Anbernic, it's compatible since because I heavily use it I kept this one as backup. Comes with nice small case and blue rubber cover for it.

EDIT: Installed it and it feels MUCH better than stock joystick, rubber feels nice too

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
lol,

my DS ML is a brand new one it seems ... i received an email from the modder i asked to modify my OG DS mentioning that he had issues with the hardware and had to use another OG DS hardware (which explain the JP initial setting)
so he sent back my DS while only asking for shipping fees ... since i only paid 25chf, the added fees made the ML price go up to 35chf for my side

a friend recommended me the guy, telling me he was quite nice, and also a local/national based retro enthusiast

not a buy per se .... but i can show off the ML vs OG fat now :D (and the anthracite aftermarket reshell i did )
20250217_175046.jpg20250217_175103.jpg20250217_175035.jpg

i wonder if he bought a DS ML from AliExpress .... if yes ... he sold it at a loss... the current price is 45+ chf

nonetheless, i will get an acrylic display case for my OG DS and, since i still have his bank credential, make a donation followed by a sentimental mail about how i am pleased that someone doesn't rip off nostalgic collector maniac like me

UNLESS! he expected this "kindness" to lead to that....

 nah, i don't care ... i could have gone and bought it directly from AE for the same price ... i gladly give a bit more to a local modder/reseller :D

so basically the ML is what "Nintendo-n't" ... making the best Fat DS that ever existed!
i love it soo much that it should be ilegal to do so ....

I needed a second monitor in my lab so that I can do VHS to digital on two machines simultaneously, so I bought my wife a nice Asus 27" monitor and then grabbed the old Samsung 27" curved that she was using, telling her that the VA27E will be better for her eyes. As she's an accountant, she spends hours in front of the screen and this one was great value for money - IPS and 100Mhz.
I can now cut the time in half if I take on 40 VHS tapes to convert and my wife can cook the books with less strain on her eyes!

That CM trooper case, has been a real trooper yeah? :) Personally I wouldn't do FHD on 27", but congratz on the new monitor!

Yep, I've had the Storm Trooper for years. It's so vast that I have no desire to change it. Fully loaded it's 60lbs, so no lan parties for me!

Finally the one I have been waiting for…

IMG_3188.jpegIMG_3189.jpeg

Also, a little bit of totally useless comparisons. All dark stuffs are supposed to be real black.
By order it is : cheapo ASUS LCD (prolly IPS) vs GB M27U, M27U vs AOC 24G2, M27U vs the new thing.

IMG_3185.jpegIMG_3186.jpegIMG_3191.jpeg
Also I found that 4K 27” 100% scaling is totally usable for me. And the new thing is indeed a little bit smaller than 27”.

Yeah, this one of the reasons I'm jones'ing a bit for 4k.
I have to google the word “jonesing”. # TheMoreYouKnow

I also have to think of a better layout to organize and utilize all the new space I’ve got now…But yes 4K! Double 4K! So much space!
