Nice scores your self Doc. Still trying for the 12k with settings at 1920x1200 and 8x AA. Don't think its going to happen on the GPU end unless I do that pencil mod that's getting so much attention. But I still have lots of head room on the CPU side.

P.S am I the only dumb ass that has broken a SATA connector on their HDD. Just lost everything. Storage drive that is.

should scores be current and repeatable to count.. using old ones that u used to be able to do but now cant seems kinda dodgy to me..

repeatable takes out the odd freak score as well..

I have to agree here some, because I only post 3dmarks if its stable in gaming, to me thats the only numbers that really matter. I could run the hell out of my stuff and get one good run, but that doesnt mean its worth any real respresntation of my "real" power

We all understand what a suicide run is, you both seem to think those are the only results that some of us post. I think that is a poor assumption.
We push for higher scores in benchmarks and that's how we attempt to find the limits of our hardware.

I have not read the clause in the Overclocker's Bylaws that states that a benchmark score must be repeatable in order to be valid.

Start a thread that is entitled "24/7 stable OC benchmark results w/verifiable results in triplicate" and have fun.

no I agree here too, Im not accusing anyone here of this, and come on, Im not trying to take sides, but I think an OC is useless if it doesnt really show anything. thats all im saying

Im all about cranking, but its all about the fine tune,

stability is a must for me, dont know why but im addicted to SETI and seeing the highest numbers I can, so if my computers down even for 4 hours I really take a hit. Im not to concerned with graphics, but when I play a game I want it to look good,

ohh i c, its cool with my card, Im lookin at the possibility of going to the other side....Nvidia, havent geen there since my 7800gtx sli setup, and that was amazing back then, but on 3dmark06 its only a 6,000!!! Id like to get a 8800GTS G92, and this might be the time!

i agree entirely about benching stable.. none of my scores are "gaming" stable..

but they are current at the time of posting.. they are repeatable.. they are not something dragged up from the past that isnt current and cant be done at the time of posting.. so therefore isnt repeatable..

i can also see asb's point of being "gaming" stable.. its just not practical to prove such a thing thow.. however some "proof" is needed to make the whole process valid.. "repeatability" is one of the proofs i personally would required..

i aint talking about the average of three runs.. simply the ability to produce similar results if required..

its dosnt work "properly" in this review of the 3870 x 2 and normal C/F either..

so crossfire does work "sometimes" and it dosnt work "sometimes".. thats all we know so far..

impressive FSB speeds! I hate the fact that my quad tops out so soon!

Today Im receiving some new memory that I got, I bought GSkill 2x2Gb(I hear 2 sticks OC better than 4) and its DDR2 1000. Got a good deal it is like 114 bucks at newegg.

Im hoping to hit 4ghz stable with my q6600! That will help out some with my 3Dmarks
