  • Made it home in time! Already showered and had a couple smokes. Bike is mostly clean, wheels need some scrubbing, need to buy a brush and some aluminum polish. Until then, it'll do. Oh, it just started storming out! Half an hour earlier than predicted. Damn, it just started hailing!! Maybe big pea sized hail for the past 5 minutes, Thunder sounds cool, though!
Ive got 5 hours between now and when it's supposed to Thunderstorm. Cutting it a little tight ;) but, I think I can maybe go wash my bike and get back in time. Might be cutting it close. :fear:
I took a nap, earlier, nut I am still tired. I think, tomorrow, I will go wash my bike, it's lookin' a little dirty and dusty.
For now, though, it's beddie bye time! :)
    Guten Nacht TPU!!:lovetpu:
Got 2 loads done and a nice ride in. Stopped at Pizza Luce for a late dinner and now it is time for bed
    Good Night TPU! :lovetpu:
Just got back from the chiropractor, feels good! I made it there OK but, got a little lost on the way home. I don't mind much, riding my Motorcycle, plus it's a nice day out. Glad I stopped for Fuel, last night, or it could have been a nightmare!

Now, I think it's either laundry time or, go for another ride somewhere. Maybe I'll throw a load in, or two, and plan to leave later when the temp drops a little. That way I get a dose of both! Sounds like a plan.
    :lovetpu:
Got home from my 16 hour day, about a half hour ago. Tired but, want to watch a YouTube vid, or two. Then to bed!
    Good Night TPU
    :lovetpu:
Got to work and was asked to work a double tomorrow, Monday. Said yes despite myself because the other guy, the dipshit, said he had to "check on my benefits," because this company dropped the ball.

However, he's had 2 months, so far, to "check his benefits," the rest of us have already resolved this issue 2 months ago. Dude is about as useless as useless is. Anyway, I will get some overtime. Just hope there are no more surprises this week!

So, got home, about, 15 minutes ago. Already preparing for bed. I have to leave at 6am and get up about 5:30. That's a little more than 5 hours in bed. :(
    Good Night TPU!:lovetpu:
Well, after a 12 hour shift, that ended 4 hours ago, I am now sleepy. I have another one tomorrow and expect to be sleepier, sooner, tomorrow night. So, Good Night TPU!!
    :lovetpu:
did nothing today but, I watched some YouTube and did a load of laundry. Now, off to bed, Good Night TPU.
Got Tonight off, as expected. Picked up a couple of packages from the drop box, next door. AND...I've been a little worried about Winter storage for my Motorcycle. So, called the place I was going to store my last bike, didn't happen, bike was totaled(long story, check my posts 3 years back).

After a few weeks, or Month, I will start going into the Gym, at work, or the Gym here in the building, depending on the day. I want to have a certain level of fitness back, that has been lacking, since my accident. I want to sleep better and feel better, like I used to. So, gotta get back on the Horse. I feel about halfway there, since the purchase of the Motorbike but, Next step will right the ship.

Well, I suddenly have nothing to say...I guess I'll go back to laundry. I should go lube up my Kawee's chain, maybe between loads of laundry...
Well, looks like I may have a bit of relief from the grind! I am now off on Wed.'s. Almost 3 years, I have worked Wed. evenings. It has been an overtime shift every week. Until, further notice, I have it off. Then, next Month, or late this Month, The Overtime will begin again. Boss is having surgery. At least 3 weeks out.

    congratulations!
Speaking of my new route, it is about 2 miles longer but, is a faster route and a smoother route. Traffic is mostly ok, only busy for about a mile and a half. I cross 94 and University (two busy intersections), heading North past The MN State Fairgrounds, I will have to alter the route in Aug. when the Fair is on.

It's faster because, once I clear the busy area, it's nearly 50mph the rest of the way. It's slow going once I hit downtown, 9 blocks of stoplights, but it's about 10 minutes faster, unless I stop for fuel and talk to strangers.

My ride home is bumpier, but is shorter and slower. But I like it because there is no traffic and there is a couple of hairpins, one left is @ 130-140 degree turn and the right, just up a hill, is close to a 180 turn. Both are single lane. I actually touched a peg last week! It's been over 4 years since I did that, up North on some windy county road by Mille Lacs Lake! Felt good.:)

Since I changed my route to work, I drive by that sketchy gas station I went to, one night a few weeks back, that I commented on earlier. During the day, well, much better place. I have gone there for fuel a number of times now, on my way to work.

Wed., before work, I stopped in for fuel. I met an interesting man, who asked about the bike. He is retired, him and a buddy are building a Hayabusa to break the World Record top speed. He also just bought a Messerschmitt airplane to refurbish and is working on his pilot license. We talked for about 20 minutes, Normally, I don't do that.

Most people don't interest me, at all. So, conversing with a stranger, at a gas station, is unusual. If I didn't have to work, I probably would have gone and had a coffee with him, listen to his story a bit more. But, being the working stiff I am, I had to go. Oh well.

Ok, so, I am working tonight 3-11 and then working Thu. 7am -3pm. Also, it is supposed to storm tonight, lot's 'o rain. Rather than getting soaked, like last Sat., and since it's less than 8 hours between shifts, I am going to get a Hotel room. It's 57 bucks (security rate) and it is in the building, what's the catch?

Just finished loading my bag, for 2 days, and it looks like I have a dry window to get to work. Hopefully, it all goes well and I haven't forgotten anything. See you Thu. Afternoon!
I just asked Siri a question. It provided some links on my screen. I clicked one that interested me and Siri says, "I can't do that" and then, a prompt to install "Apple news." WTF? :shadedshu: I'm not impressed, at all.

OK well, Thursday the 15th, finally got my phone working. Got the replacement on the 9th. Verizon sent a SIM card and said, " Everything is ready to go, just insert the SIM in it's holder!" After going back and forth with an Apple iCloud rep...

on a borrowed Apple store phone, she said I needed to have the phone activated. I looked up a local Verizon Store, I wasn't familiar with the neighborhood around the Mall the Apple store was in. Found one about a half mile away. I told the guy what had happened and he said, did you call the 800 number?

I was like, 'are you kidding?' He dialed it up handed me his phone, I punched in my phone number and 2 minutes later it was working. Riddle me this, Verizon. Why did it say nothing about an 800 number and say all I had to do was plop in the SIM? Says right on the insert," It's all loaded up, insert your new SIM and start enjoying your new phone(?)"

 6 frickin' DAYS putzing around. To top it all off, iCloud had only saved ONE of my Contacts. ONE! 0 Pics, 0 Apps. Apple...? I don't get it.
In a little bit, I am going to see if my phone insurance was truly worth it, LOL. I expect a few hoops to jump around but hopefully it will all work out. Wish me luck, I will update more about it later.

Got the phone UPS'ed to me Today. Unfortunately, I don't remember my iCloud password and I jumped through all the hoops to get it reset, but it didn't work. So, Monday, b4 work I will buzz by the Verizon store again and have them give me a hand. I'm done mucking around w/it.

BTW, it cost me $279 in deductible to get a new phone. Considering the prices of iPhone 13 Pro's, it's worth it.

Hopefully, in the next 1 1/2 years, Google will have fixed the latest software for the Pixel, or Motorola has something worth getting. Not sure I want to continue down the Apple lane, next upgrade. I just don't know what make it so "premium". I loved my Pixel 4. iPhone 13 pro? it's not love.
Well, after a 16 hour day, 40 hours since Sat., I lost my phone and had to return to work, because I forgot my house keys. My phone, well, I put it in my jacket pocket and didn't zip the pocket. It fell out somewhere on the road.

I rode home, the second time, after picking up my keys, and went real slow looking for it. did not see it. I believe I have insurance but, I also have a website calling the phone periodically, for the next 48 hours. So we'll see if it turns up. if not, I will go to Verizon and see what I can do with them.

I won't have time for that until THU (If my schedule still works the way it should, no guarantee.).
