Oh, no need to be sorry. Been there. No worries!I've played that so much that I've got bored to that OST, sorry.

Not sure if this was posted, but if not... its a damn shame.
18 years later (feel old?), and i'm yet to stumble on a more memorable OST.
IDK if its the game, the sheer nostalgia or just simply the amazing orchestra. Something about HOMM3's OST will stay with me as long as my mind is clear. I'd remember those tunes in 40 years.

Thread needs necro for this:
Middle Earth: Shadow of War - Menu Theme by Garry Schyman & Nathan Grigg
I might have to dig through the archives to find that one. Stood out the moment I heard it.
Edit: Done. The official track (1007800512.ogg) is 2:50 long. The video above repeats the track three times. The soundtrack was done by the same composer that did the films.
As always...some variety...
Poly Bridge - Under Construction by Adrian Talens
Far Cry 4 - The Hard Road by Cliff Martinez (was drummer for Red Hot Chili Peppers)
RimWorld - Ceta by Alistair Lindsay (also did RollerCoaster Tycoon 3)
Star Citizen - Symphony in Motion by Pedro Macedo Camacho
If the whole album ends up being that quality, I shall be speechless.

These songs aren't on YouTube yet and I'm not going to be the one that puts them there. This is the best peaceful game soundtrack I heard in a very long time, well worth the money if you like upbeat strings.
Sample it here: https://clarkaboudmusic.bandcamp.com/album/make-sail-original-soundtrack
Bought it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/811230/Make_Sail__Soundtrack/
Album is fantastic start to finish.

PC Leisure Suit Larry
Although I was old enough to play this "adult game" at that time, I had a hard time answering the "adult checking questions" because English is not my first language. The game it self is so-so, but the music is superb!
PS1 GT 1 Ending Credit "Second Chance"
It took me few months to pass all the license tests and races. When I finally finished the last race and the ending credit rolled up, wow!
PS2 MGS 2 "Can't Say Goodbye to Yesterday"
A beautiful song and well performed, isn't it?
PS2 MGS 3 "Snake Eater Theme"
The best MGS in my opinion. The theme song is 007 movie style.
PS3 龍が如く3 (Yakuza 3) 時間よ止まれ
To be honest, I cried when the song was playing in game during my first walkthrough.
PS3 龍が如く5 (Yakuza 5) - KONNANじゃないっ!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_Q5Vgd_1iI
A song can cheer you up. If the song was sung by a real idol singer, I bet it can easily be a j-pop hit song.
PS3 龍が如く5 (Yakuza 5) - ばかみたい

I like the lyric because I am also a fool.

Video Games Live started in 2002 (before Mass Effect) and it is still happening today. Jack Wall resigned from Video Games Live in 2010 to return to composing (probably why he did Into the Stars). Mass Effect was announced in 2010 and released in 2012.He was doing that during ME3?
I'm the opposite. Mass Effect was slightly above average (the Spectre Induction was a grand slam and the credits music was fantastic but the rest was meh), Mass Effect 2 was completely forgettable, Mass Effect 3 was better than Mass Effect in terms of music (the theme they gave it was really powerful and recurs throughout to a climax at the end). Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age: Awakening, and Dragon Age 2 were all forgetable. Dragon Age Inquisition had a powerful theme and the Orlasis theme was top notch. Even that sung song between Act I and Act II was powerful not just as a piece of music, but as foundational piece of the narrative. Not that I dislike Me3's soundtrack btw.. but it also wasn't fitting with the other two. Would have preferred Wall completing it.
Same goes for the dude from Dragon Age. The guy from DAI wasn't bad, but it's also nothing like the other two.

The songs I referenced above...
Mass Effect - Spectre Induction by Jack Wall
Mass Effect - M4 Part II by Faunts
Mass Effect 3 - Leaving Earth by Sam Hulick (anyone that played the game should get chills from this one...anyone that didn't won't understand it)
Mass Effect 3 - Das Malefitz by Faunts (funny how it came full circle, isn't it?)
Dragon Age: Inquisition - Calling the Inquisition by Trevor Morris
You can hear "The Dawn Will Come" theme woven in there several times as well as the Inquisition melody. Brilliant piece without being samey. And that's not even the best track in the game (those were posted previously).
Of the Bioware titles discussed in this post, Mass Effect 3 takes the cake and it's not even close. Could give five just for Mass Effect 3. "A Future for the Krogan" is amazing narratively (female vocalist which Mass Effect 3 introduced the first Krogan female) and as a piece of music (fantastically organized, powerful, and symbolic). "An End Once and For All" was linked in this thread by many people. So melancholy yet with a hint of hope for the future and determination to see it through. "I Was Lost Without You" perfectly marries piano solo, orchestra, and scifi themes. "Wake Up" the right musical score for the circumstance in the game and good by itself.
