Game isn't out yet but I believe they played this during the E3 showcase.

Ah I see.

Sidenote: Now I remember why I wanted Jack Wall on ME3. He was kind of doing a motif in 1 and 2. Then the other dude came in 3 and it was classical/acoustic music (which was very good), but had no resemblance to what came before.

Listen to the title tracks.. and you'll see. It's kind of like how most of the GOT soundtrack are variations of the same theme. So I would've liked to see how he followed up in ME3.

Yeah, I get that it is quite a bit different but I think it was a change for the better. Ironic that Faunts in the ME3 credit music was very similar to Wall's style in ME so they did pay homage to the original through that.

I could keep going on about this really. Another thing Wall does so well is tell a story with sound. I've been a guitar player for 30 years, and I still suck at this... I sort of just jam and randomly do what I think sounds cool. But a real composer can paint pictures. This is also something the ME3 guy failed at.. He sounded good and made some really emotional tracks.. but they lacked character.

Take Garrus theme in ME2 for example. It just screams "dirty cop on the prowl":

On the opposite end, Jack sounds like the track for a notorious convict. I remember the first time I played how ominous it was... only to get the joke when you finally meet her. I'm surprised you didn't consider the score memorable.

Destiny has some great music.

But these tracks are really great.hopefully will follow on to the next DLC.

Some Stranger things and Metroid vibes im feeling.

The mission that compliments these tracks is also brilliant.
