The sensible guess is cheeky sidegrade from using automotive radiator. Being an air filter it appears they have a blower motor on the other end sucking air through and past some homebrew cooling solution inside the tubing which is also automotive. Real question here is how they are using the sensor just behind air filter that necessitated dual hose clamps.

Anyone familiar with what we're looking at? I've seen a ton of custom liquid loops but nothing resembling a huge liquid like stack pipe and what seems to be some sort of filtrate system at the end of it.

when your network need more cooling, you don't need any fan at all, just use some papers to lift it up so it has more space to remove the heat inside

after several days i check there's condensation so i try to improve by using 20 layers of brown tape and using high temp grease since i don't have silicone grease

it should be tight enough to protect the internal

This must qualify as ghetto, 7950GT using a cooler from a dead Asus 9600GT, then the fan on the Asus cooler died so I cut a generic 80mm fan from it's shroud and cable tied it to the heatsink.

Put back together with PTM7950. Love that I used PTM 7950 on a 7950GT too.

My Cooler Master Master Case Pro 3 has single removable front air filter section and single sided internal mounting rail for installing a fan controller. It is specifically made to disallow mounting a full sized internal optical drive. So I dug through the parts bin for a read only HP slim DVD and bought a Molex powered adapter cable with the mini fittings combined into one plug.

Many hours and much labor went into design and successful suspension of this in a way that assured it was fully leveled and firmly mounted without removing the critical amount of movement countering rotational forces and all other impactful factors. When correctly positioned at a point marked on drive where it extends outside the case for approximately 1 1/2" or 3.5cm, and internally weighted, it rests on a steel structural case support beam with enough pressure to provide a fully level plane removing any inclination to twist. This was then given a highly refined exterior finish consisting of the cardboard from a case of Coke and very fine quality orange painters tape forming a tight dust resistant seal.

For your entertainment I provide a shoestring solution to a problem that didn't need to exist.

Seems every single season of every year recently a major environmental record is broken by shocking amounts. In Spring that one is pollen content in the air which forces new measurement equipment to be constructed that doesn't clog so easily.

Everything but the (mostly removed) dust comment was hopefully obvious as self effacing humor examining how complex the string path kept getting to keep the drive sitting in one place. It really does work well at keeping it locked in place and removing vibration right down to the contact with tape on two sides.

I'm not Christopher Walken level of mouse extermination, yet.

Here's a graphics card that stopped booting and I managed to fix. A resistor for the PEX power rail fell off. I guessed the value needed based on an old datasheet, and then tweaked the pot till it was about 1V.



And here's my current battery backup situation. I ordered the wrong battery, but I made it work.
