I took mine apart and used a white label with black shapie stuck to the inside to dim them down. Works a fair treat! Should work on the outside too if you want to try it.

Nah, I had it for few years like that and it does its job. Plus it's easily reversible.

Also did similar thing with Dell power brick adapter for work laptop, it had LED ring around the plug which was glowing like crazy at night.

I do not have this pc any more after i moved to AM4. But my old X58 had some Ghetto mode to it i think. I zip tied some fans to the motherboard chipset cooler back in the summer 2018. Because that summer was insanely dry and hot for what is normal in my country. So to keep my cpu running oc, i had to help the passive cooled chipset to get ridt of heat. Also mounted new fans on the CPU cooler (noctua Nh-D14 with 3 new noctua IPPC 3000 rpm 120 mm fans and i replaced the Antec Twelve Hundred old original fans with new Corsair ML120 mm fans and some fan controllers). All to keep my pc ruuning cool when oc in that extreme heat that summer, but also because some of the old fans was beginning to fail (bearing noises was beginning to come).

Ugly or not, it worked like a champ that summer and the rest of the time i had id for 3 years after until i in 2021 mooved on to a dual AM4 system and is my curent pc.
How great dit it work? Well i could get my I7 980X up to 4,75 GHz at 1.55 volt a cold winter day stable. Not possible in the summer however. But 4,75 ghz on that CPU aircooled is apselutely great.

This is my curent pc, most people properly have seen it by now. I don´t know if that 3D printed funnel below can be called Ghetto mode?

Here we have my latest machination. An EVGA GTX670 than has always ran hotter than I would like.
I had two choices, replace the heatsink/fan with something better or modify the existing. Behold; EVGA GTX670 Lexified!

What do you all think?
It does run about 5C cooler at idle and 11C cooler under load. Who knew all that extra plastic housing would make a such a difference?

From a bird's eye I thought it was GT1030 :p Very well executed! The difference in temp is nothing to sneeze at. If you are OK with dumping the heat in the case, then the mod is a success, cause it kind of defeats the purpose of having a blower card. What I am talking...it is a success anyway.

The box of iPad 2 is perfect for height adjustment to fit with my main screen. That 32" doesn't have a height adjustment itself.

And that toilet paper roll isn't for what you think for

An unmarried male with a considerable liking for a non-existent female having disposable paper products on his desk...

Draw your own conclusions as to the usual use in such a situation.

No pix because it's a mess, but currently cloning an NVMe to another using the native slot on a partially disassembled laptop and an external adapter. Not enough free M.2 slots.

That's not helpful. What am I missing?

Sneezes, maybe.
I don't think that's what was being implied, but I'm suddenly getting the feeling I don't want to know.

I can't post that on here, it's against TPU rules. Are you familiar with the literal definition of wanker?

Pretty solid this is getting erased or demoted to Low Quality Post. No matter how I struggle towards reestablishing topical relevancy with a box.
