There are a bunch of us that still play. I'd prefer a sequel to a remaster, as the game looks really good maxed out. And performance is well optimized, a rare thing now-a-days.

Gaming has become as creatively bankrupt as hollywood. Remastering a game that is playable on PS5....SMH. Meanwhile there's a whole roster of IP that's been abandoned that Sony could work with....

This doesn't convince me. With the exception of the hair, I like the original better. Looks more natural, if we can call it that. It does look good though..

This kind of thing screams of too soon, and too little. It almost makes me think some devs are now purposely holding back some graphical polish at launch, while planning to follow up with a so called remaster they charge you for. Something's rotten in Devmark!

Worse yet, I'm not sure the blowing snow is any better than the original. I'm imagining Aloy wincing as one of those big chunks of snow smacks her in the eyeball!

I've been calling it mini torpedo-cicles that fly horizontally. Not sure that's even physically possible. Reminds me of the days when I was a kid, and we'd have snow ball fights and play king on the mountain. It got rather painful when we polished the snowballs and snow mound to an icy crust!

You gotta love a dev team that makes it hard on their own protagonist. She's probably thinking, "Great, first they have me fighting metal dinosaurs, and now I have to dodge flying chunks of SNOW"?

Looks like they used the Forbidden West model. Her lower face got thicker and looks swollen, whereas the forehead got smaller creating some odd looking proportions. The original looks more realistic and more like the actual actresses used as a reference.

In the new model it appears they moved her eyes farther apart and the underside of the outer nostrils are not as rounded and the curve of the hairline changed.

Keep returning to my original thought on contract work. As in they hit a point it was clear what they wanted to accomplish was impossible. So it got pushed out early at lowered cost that preserved their integrity.

Original has a more naturally enjoyable atmosphere with a very clearly assessed balance to contrast robots lights in movement have.

The biggest example of a game that needs a sequel a thousand times more than a remaster. I’m replaying it now for the 4th time and it still looks fantastic.

Let's hope Silent Hill 2 gets RE-remaked ASAP, it looks FLAT (like the original, i liked SH1 muchmore to finish it 12 times btw).
