What is with these crazy ass, moronic execs making these business choices? In a depressed economy you don't raise prices, you lower them to meet the budget limitations of your buying market sector. Sony execs are either on drugs, have their heads in the sand(up their butts) and/or are just completely clueless..

Appears GOG sale for low $$ on original is looking less likely to occur again. Not too worked up over missing out after seeing how mid the remaster looks. Looks, still holding out for impactful changes elsewhere to this port in the remaster. Visuals could still morph since everything is basically a psych exam to these entities nowadays.

Well HZD has sold over 20 million copies, in fact that was as at November 2021.

AS of May last year it was up to 24.3 million units. Whatever my personal opinion of the game and Sony there's no denying that it has been a huge success for Sony.

The PC version isn't but the original game came out in February 2017, 7 1/2 years ago.

I think the primarily reason it's getting the remaster treatment is Sony just doesn't have very many first party games coming out and for 10 bucks they probably think PS5 owners who own the PS4 version will buy it.

Doubtful this was likely geenlit long before that epic disaster came out.

Still why they didn't do Bloodborne instead is surprising to me but maybe that's way more niche.

This was likely just much easier the engine had already been improved with Horizon Forbidden West so less work to get it up to par visually with that game.

All the games I'd like to be remastered likely would have taken significantly more work especially PS1 and PS2 era stuff.

I wonder how much of that is the Epic giveaway.

Afaik of that 24 million around 21 million is just the Playstation sales.... So probably not much.

Normally I stay far away from the type of conversation that starts with claims of unfocused thoughts asking for validation. Which then quickly add up to acceptance of leftfield ideas as near facts. The less you know the more you can imagine. Somehow I couldn't help myself and again in steering it through a few laughable moments towards an easily disregarded conclusion. Just so long as reminders of this outlook from my account occur every couple pages.

My only concern is not growing offensive to site personnel or overly exciting anyone during a rather dulling period for hardware and many software applications.

My only concern is not growing offensive to site personnel or overly exciting anyone during a rather dulling period for hardware and many software applications.

Sony's whole live service plan seems to have set them back years especially with the not so smart purchase of Bungie so if we are talking about that as a whole I'd agree they probably need money really bad right now especially with how weak the yen currently is.

I would expect even more remasters from them going forward honestly easy way to keep investors happy with low risk/low cost remasters. Still it's 10 bucks unless you don't own the game does it really matter you can't even roll up to a fast food joint these days in California and spend less....

It's not like anyone is forced to buy it after all as all the internet keyboard champions shout at the top of their lungs vote with your wallet lol.

Not uncommon though. New patch or new DLC is about to come up and the price goes up temporarily, or the "sale" is smaller than it was 2-3 times in the past.
