Hi jbailey8 , with the patched driver, the SLI works on my computer, thanks for your kindness.

I just have one question, after installed the patched driver and restart the computer, at the bottom right it shows "windows7 XXXX Internal test version ", is this normal after get the driver patched ?

Glad it's working! Yes, the white text you see in the bottom right-hand area of your screen is supposed to be there, installation of the patched driver puts your computer into test mode, you can turn that off if
you want, but doing so will also disable the patched driver.

I've never seen that error before, offhand I'd say something got corrupted (possibly a virus on your computer), scan your system with a good anti-virus scanner, and re-install the official video drivers and reboot
your computer, and make sure you aren't still getting that error, if everything looks good then reinstall the patched driver per instructions on this forum and reboot again. Be sure to reinstall
geforce experience again too (this should be part of the official video installer).

OAWrapper is part of geforce experience as far as I know.

Made an account just to say thank you jbailey8, couldn't get this to work until i applied your drivers and boom instant SLI.
Turned an old Intel D975xbx2 with a Q6600 OC to 3.6 and 2 GTX660 into a very formidable beast. Thank you.

Quick question if i want to update the drivers, currently running the 358.50, is there a process or do i just update normally then swap yours into the DSLI folder and run the install?

Ember had a hand in the driver too, don't forget to thank him also! But to answer your question, whenever you want to update your drivers, just download and install nvidias' official drivers, then download the
patched driver into the same folder your have differentsli (make sure the version numbers match), and run the Install.cmd again, then reboot, go to your nvidia control panel and activate sli mode.

Hi Jbailey,
after installing the sli-patch it works fine with my gtx680's 4GB.
But something weird is now on bottom right of my desktop it shows me "Testmodus Windows 7 Build 7601".
the cmd installer said, Certificate installed.
After running Microsoft Fix it, the driver was gone after reboot, in HW Manager the driver was not certified.
Maybe you have a solution.

To SparkPlug:

You can't disable testmode, doing so will disable the patched driver, the reason for this is because the certificate isn't from a trusted source, there really isn't much that can be done
about this, my system is in test mode too, but it runs just fine.

I just wanted to add when i did the original install and now the update i had to rename the nvlddmkm.sys to nvlddmkm.old. If not the installer would fail saying the file is being used by another process. Hope this helps anyone that sees that in the installer read out.

Yes, sometimes that has to be done, usually on windows 10. Glad everything is working!.

Jbailey, I registered just to say thank you so very much for your help and guidance here. I bought 2 GTX 980s and a used motherboard that was SLI certified...for Quadro only! That is a distinction that is not easily discovered in my experience. You saved me from having to buy a new motherboard or at least having a ridiculously expensive multi-monitor setup. Can't thank you enough.

Thank you to jbailey for the help getting my 2 GTX 550 TIs running in SLI, But i wonder if i can get some more help. i recently updated the nvidia drivers and the SLi patch to the latest and noticed a performents drop in SLI compared to the earlier drivers. Games crash in fullscreen mode, the driver fails and framerate has dropped to the 20s. is there anyone else with theses issues?

I'm running the latest drivers (358.87) and I haven't experienced any of those issues, I played cod 3 with no problems, offhand I'd say when you updated the drivers there was a error somewhere, most likely when installing
the patched driver, were any errors listed in the Install.cmd text output? My best suggestion is to reinstall the latest official drivers (358.87) and then reinstall the latest patched driver paying close attention to
any errors that might be listed from the text output from the Install.cmd.

I think i will save mode remove all the driver and patch and give it another go. Thank you

You also might want to pause your anti-virus temporarily when reinstalling the drivers, especially the patched driver.
