HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

BIOS and driver last.
See "Peripherals" I found one entry where you can put PCIE Slot 4х.
Made.
but it did not help (((((

It means all the same problem in my motherboard?

At the moment I'm stumped, I'm assuming memtest came back with no problems, it isn't that likely your motherboard is bad, the patched driver runs fine for most other people, there's something about your computer
that doesn't like the patched driver, my best advice at the moment is to reinstall nvidas' official driver and just go with that, I recommend setting your weaker video board as physx and your stronger board as video,
I've also assumed that you have a sli bridge installed between both boards, I'll keep working on this problem and hopefully I'll a answer soon, but for now your better off with nvidias' official driver.
It's also conceivable that your motherboard just doesn't support sli mode in any shape or form,
(this would be a first for me if this is the case) it only supports crossfire which would mean you need to switch to ati video boards, and install catalyst video drivers.

well, of course. I have a sli-bridge between boards, and before you install the official driver, I delete the old via DDU

That should work, but you can just run nvidias' installer too, that would overwrite the patched driver when it installs the official driver.

I did just find out about this article:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/983615

They even have a hotfix available for download if you want to try this out before a reinstall.

I downloaded this hotfix. but in the renewal was denied. All updates are already installed on my system

Ok, sorry the hotfix didn't work, reinstall the official drivers for now.

No more ideas? (

I'm basically out of ideas at the moment, did you go to your motherboard drivers page and update any other drivers? If you've done that and the problem is continuing I'd say your motherboard has a hardware
failure or configuration problem. I've done quite a bit of googling about this and most of the posts I can find point to hardware failure related to the motherboard or other motherboard driver issues.
Most of the problems people have with the patched driver is getting it signed properly and installed, once it's installed it runs ok, in your case it seems to be getting installed ok, it just doesn't want to run,
something about your computer is stopping it, the most likely cause in my opinion is as stated before, either you have a driver issue, or your motherboard is failing somewhere, but since the official
driver seems to run ok, that would suggest your motherboard is fine at a hardware level, that leaves some other motherboard driver as the issue.

Ok, if you've already got the latest drivers & bios updates then for moment at least I'm stumped, if I can think of anything else to try I'll post here.

I really think about buying another motherboard))
but I'll wait the news from you) thanks

If you would rather buy another motherboard, may I suggest this one:

http://motherboards.specout.com/l/3773/MSI-Z97S-SLI-PLUS

This one is comparable to your current motherboard plus the specs state it will do crossfire and sli (you probably select which in the bios or a switch on the motherboard).
You might even be able to use most of your other hardware with this one, you might not need to buy anything else other then this motherboard.
and you can use official drivers, no more patched drivers to worry about.

price is about $140.

I'd suggest not waiting on me, I've gone through everything I can think of at the moment and I'm not even sure I'll ever come up with anything else, your the first case I've had where the patched
driver simply doesn't want to run and I couldn't get you going. I'd go ahead and get another motherboard and sell your current one on ebay or something.

To Mark Burnett:

Hypersli is no longer used, the latest drivers it supported were 335.23, use differentsliauto now, see instructions below:

If you have hypersli installed, run it's installer and uninstall it before proceeding.

1. Go to http://www.geforce.com/drivers and download the latest drivers (358.91) for your version of windows.
2. Go here: http://www.gamefront.com/files/25329966/nvlddmkm-35891-7-8-81-vista-64bit.rar (This link assumes windows 7, 8, or 8.1 and this is 64 bit only, if you need the windows 10 version, see download links below).
3. Go here: https://github.com/EmberVulpix/DifferentSLIAuto/releases and download the 1.3 version of this package.
4. If you don't already have winrar installed, go here: http://www.rarlabs.com/download.htm and download the version of winrar for your system that is current and run the installer.
5. Unpack differentsliauto 1.3 to a folder of your choice (c:\diffsli13 for example).
6. Unpack the patched driver into the same folder you unpacked differentsliauto 1.3.
7. Run the official video driver installer you downloaded from nvidias' site and let it install the official drivers.
8. Once the official drivers are installed and the installer has finished, go back to where you unpacked differentsliauto 1.3 and you also have the patched nvlddmkm.sys.
9. Open a administrator level command prompt (hold down left-shift & right-click anywhere in the window (don't have any files high-lighted) and select 'open command window here'.
10. Run the 'Install.cmd' file, it should say 'success!' in green text at the bottom of the window if there were no errors.
11. Reboot your computer.
12. Go to your nvidia control panel and activate sli.

Yes, if the motherboard specs state that it will support sli mode and for better performance it has to be at least 8x.
Please note that most motherboards split the speed between pcie slots, for example my motherboard
( Asus m4a89gtdpro/usb3) is rated for 16x, but when I installed both of my video boards the speed went down to 8x for both slots.
So if you get a motherboard rated at say 8x for both slots, the speed will most likely split down to 4x, so I'd get at least a 8x or better yet a 16x rated board.
Note that this might not be the case for all sli (or crossfire) rated motherboards, check the specs to see
how your particular motherboard will handle this.

I went through the steps and yet no sli option. A couple months ago when I did it I used HyperSli and differentSli together.

To Mark Burnett:

You can't use both hypersli and differentsliauto at the same time, that could make you system unstable and they will interfere with each other, run the hypersli installer and uninstall hypersli, reboot your computer, then try the steps
listed with differentsliauto again.
If you are still having issues with differentsli post the output of the Install.cmd here, or post
whatever the error is here.
You didn't specify what operating system your using, but if it's windows 10, you'll need
to go to "c:\windows\system32\drivers" and rename 'nvlddmkm.sys' to 'nvlddmkm.old'
and run the Install.cmd again.

I HAVE done it before in the past (2 months ago), no driver crashing and it was the only way it would work properly. Then I did a clean install and didn't bother backing HyperSli up because I assumed I could just re-download it. When I install differentsli there was errors at first (file in use) or the one where it couldn't sign it, but I fixed those accordingly.

I'm running both Windows 7 and Windows 10 on two different hard drives so I can rule out the operating system as the problem. My motherboard is only crossfire compatible and my graphics card is a 460 2win.

Your the first person I've run accross where both of these programs were installed at the same time and there were not any issues, the latest driver hypersli supported to my knowledge was 335.23, I used to have hypersli installed
on my system, it started bluescreening when I went past 335.23, I've been using differentsli for a good while now, and I've never any issues with it, please post the text output of the install.cmd, you can
do this by opening and command prompt and type in 'Install.cmd > out.txt'. I'd say either the driver isn't being signed properly (read the readme.txt included in the driver rar) and/or it isn't being copied over
for some reason.

Just wanted to report that i use HyperSLI because i have 2 SLI cards on a Crossfire based motherboard and i also use DifferentSLI because SLI option dissapeared with the newest Nvidia drivers.

My HyperSLI works fine so i dont have to do anything about it when a new driver comes.
When a new driver appears i get rid of the old one first so i uninstall and use Driversweeper after that, which MUST be done otherwise i will get errors in the endprocess.
Reboot and have windows install the standard driver.
Install the newest betadriver 340.43
After that i rebooted.
Get a copy of "nvlddmkm.sys" from "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\" and put it where the patcher of DifferentSLI is.
Run DifferentSLIauto.exe and patch the file which will create a ".bak" file in the same map.
This file will be used and copied when u run "Install.cmd" as an administrator.
Reboot and go to Nvidia configurationscreen to turn SLI on.

For me this works.
Every new driver i have to do all the steps otherwise it will fail.
I used the old .bak file from the driver before and i got a BSOD on the new driver.

I hope this will help some people at least.
Good luck and tx to the guys who have made these programs a long time ago so i can still run some older cards on an even older rig :)

Below the pictures of my working HyperSLI and DifferentSLI on the newest driver

View attachment 57682

This is where I originally got the idea to try it that way and it has been the only way it has worked since.

Also, it got signed fine, but not until I copied the updated files over that came with the patched driver. And I know it copies over because when I first did it, it wouldn't load the driver because it said there was a problem verifying the signature. That was BEFORE I decided to use the updated files.

I looked at your screenshot, and that explains a few things, If I'm right your running driver 340.43 (64 bit), the last download links I posted were for 358.91 64 bit, I'm not even sure I ever posted download links for 340.43,
I just assumed you had downloaded the latest driver, but your running a old driver, if your setup works fine with no issues then that's ok, your just the first case I've ever seen with this setup, so everything
is working ok now?

I'm running the latest drivers. That screen-shot was part of the message that I quoted from earlier on in this thread. Currently my greatest issue is I have no way of getting the latest HyperSli to see if that would work. Which is why I wanted someone to upload it so I could try it because that is literally the only thing I haven't been able to do since the link was depreciated.
