Is X570 Chipset overheating a possible cause of NVMe's dropping from the system?

Any thoughts on using PTM7950 as a replacement for the X570 chipset thermal pad considering the chipset typically operates above 45c anyway?

I mean it probably wouldn’t hurt but I mean I’ve had both X570 and X570S and well i just accept it runs “Hot” But hey if it helps a few degrees a gain is a gain

Good find tho interesting that it’s for your particular board but hey you got all the info you could ask for in whatever you decide.
I mean I just tried looking mine up and it was mostly standard reviews tho it was on a few ”best” vids

Ok you can't say that and not provide a picture.

I had a chance to get a waterblock from ebay when I scooped up a Taichi Razor Edition but I passed on the block since in all cases prevented me from running a full length GPU.

I actually used a Noctua 40mm fan on my Chipset heatsink. I also had the board fully populated though so it was always working to maintain things like RAID arrays.

Air over the chipset makes a difference ,and no obstruction , which I learn real fast , when installing vertical GPU mount, riser cable was the reason for me , was up against the MB , moved riser cable away from MB heatsink , went from 60c down to normal 40c as before the vertical mount riser cable , VRM never had a problem 40c .

I can’t believe it’s a situation where the GPU was STILL the problem. The main issue is design. Your GPU basically blocks airflow to the fan. There’s only a couple MoBos where the fan is positioned unobstructed.
Now I mean I have no fan but i maintain reasonable temps actually more reasonable than my X5670 with a fan.

I tested with and without riser flat thick cable against the MB , Asus Dark Hero X570 is passive cool ,no fans , riser acted like a blanket on top of the heatsink ,reposition the blanket away , air runs over heatsink , air is moving in and out of this case at a good clip , 10 Noctua a14 3000rpm fans with intake filters , plus two more at the end of the day.
also my Cooler Master vertical mount is adjustable with this Mystify XL .

LOL I Run 2K Noctua Industrials I have 3Ks as well but when I switched from my hot and loud 6950XT to my 7900XTX the thermals were much better so I went back to 2Ks

I just run ASUS fan software , the only times I hear the fans ,when using PassMark , day to day ,and gaming, my 4090 is the loudest thing in the case LOL .

I have all my set in my BIOS they only spin up when gaming or they’re pretty silent at 900rpm idle. My 3 Magflows on my rad are the “loudest” at a static 1500rpm. I have always been thermals>noise. I game in 5.1. Even when wound up it’s not even a distraction.

It's a really dumb issue to outline but I think this does a fairly good job of it.
I won't be able to water cool the X570 chipset without rearranging SFP to top slot and GPU to 2nd slot all because this obstruction is so pervasive on 500 generation.
The guy that decided on this was like a cat. Perch that thing right in the middle of all the traffic to obstruct everything.
It will take some fitting but a low profile copper block similar to the kind I use on my chillers MIGHT work but it's not really designed for motherboards.
We need something with sealed side path fittings that run parallel to the board.

Dude.. I just put 2 in my case, and a TY-143.. I went from a slumbery consumer system to a psycho box..

I had to put my 5900X back in just to cap it off

Before going full nuclear, I even consulted internally ASUS, the main point of my upgrade was that little whiny bitch of a fan, after a year it got irritating, basically you cannot get a new one, you RMA your board you get a RMAed refurbished shit board with a random fault and same other old whiny fan. As a hot blooded, corporate hating chap, I said no thank you.

So before that I considered doing another stunt laptop users do, putting additional heatpipes. So thermal epoxy and a pipe to somewhere, like in the old days, when motherboards had real cooling across the board, not RGB bling. Pipes went across the board and cost like a hundred... ffs, now you have to fix the board even coming out of the box... reminds me of soviet culture.
