i dont own it but iv worked on a custom rig extensively using this case the room and airflow are great honestly fantastic but the HDD mount racks are very fragile. if you did get it and accidentally broke one I could source the part for you. they are the same ones used in the 600D

Thanks man, TBH I would probably only be running SSDs anyways so shouldn't really be an issue as I could velcro them anywhere I wanted

One thing is, from pictures it looks kinda ugly to me. What's it like in person?

Also, which cards are currently regarded as the best (on air) for the 290/290x ?

honestly the thermals on both cards are dead even since they are basically the same but so far the sapphires and galaxy's seem to have the best thermals aftermarket. the case in person looks good it is surprisingly wide though. like mini fridge edition. but it doesnt look terrible if only a bit short for me (i charge things by lying them on the top of my case) so if you are a floor person it may be a bit of a reach. if your a desk person you can live with it for sure if you have the width.

I kinda expected this cooler to be top when I saw those early 290X mods with ICQ2 280X cooler, but this crazy? Nice

That msi 290 temps can get in the 80s with fans maxed out easy.

Anybody having 2D clock issues with the 14.1 driver? If I use overdrive to adjust fan speed or clocks at all the card will not downclock during 2D use.

Well great news im part of the.team again. Just got a call from my local shop and I pick up my new msi gaming 290 at 5pm today. God if so excited and hope it clocks well. Ill post a few pixs later too

Went back to the 13.12 drivers. Not sure if anyone else had performance problems but with the 14.1 beta I was getting 31FPS in Heaven and P5000 in 3Dmark11. Up to 64FPS and P10500 now...

Yup had the same issues using the beta driver. Low performance but the steam benchmark for mantle was about the only thing the beta was good at. Its going to be the last beta install for me untill something decent comes out.

Dont know if your asking or telling me but the highest temp I recorded the 1st night benching was 52c on auto fan. Imo the msi cooler beats out the HIS all day long. And it wasnt stock clocks neither.

Well, I think that's great because those SPs are somewhere around 35ish dba, which are loud for fans but decent for a gpu (imo). Good call on the card

I think I found the max for this card. 1205/1460 @ offset 168.

Any more voltage and it just blacks out.

I just hope the one that comes in on Friday clock's the same or better

I didn't think it was that bad. The whole time while hearing your card, I was mentally comparing it to a reference 290... thinking, "what a difference!"
