Not sure how rare this is but not too many cards would have come with custom blocks back in the day!

Matching serials with the original retail box. It comes with a little torch light but unsure if this accessory is originally packaged with the card?

She boots and got through an 03. I just held a fan over the block to replicate a HSF without pumping water through just for now.

Very cool 15 year old card!
Good grief! Yeah, that's a rare one!

And check out the fully sick keyring LED torch light.

I know it's not a rare GPU, but the dual-purpose port discussion led me to recall a laptop I had many years ago that had an HDMI/USB port, so you could use the port for either purpose. It was in the early stages of HDMI adoption for PCs. I think I used it as a USB port 99% of the time.

Are you thinking of USB/eSATA combo ports or was it for sure HDMI? I cant imagine USB and HDMI existing in the same socket at all.

Hello everyone, I just bought this RX 6300 for cheap and need to upload the bios. I was wondering if it’s possible to flash into Radeon W6400 seeing as the pcb is the same except for the missing vram. I can add the missing chip but that’s a last resort.

You got me second guessing myself. I've been searching for reviews of what I thought the old laptop was, but I haven't had much luck. It was probably from about 2009, 2010. I do remember having the USB/eSATA ports on things, but not on a laptop. Hmm...

What about the RTX 4060 Ti? I'm pretty sure that's a fairly rare GPU. I mean, how many people have it?

Wow! Did you originally buy the card brand new or second hand? Do you think that torch light comes with it originally? Doesn't say anything on the box.

I believe they made a 9800 GTX exactly the same. Never seen one!

Got myself an engineering sample HD 7970. Unfortunately they had slapped an "Amazon.com return" sticker wrapping around the card, which tore off some of the enginering sample sticker. I'll post a full picture and PCB pics when I get around to cleaning up the thing, but here is proof.

20230723_134045.JPG

Gonna see if I can separate and unfold the squished part of the sticker. EDIT: Sticker was too torn up

I am struggling to tell if the date mark is 25/6/2012 or 25/5/2012. If it's the former, that'd be quite a strange sample, considering that'd put it 3 days after the launch of the GHz edition. The sticker did have "Rev. 1" printed on it, if that helps.

Nice.
AFAIK ECS isn't a common brand for video cards, at least Stateside.

Also the 2GB W6300 (apparently), exists:

Also, no need to flash it to a W6300 (or whatever).
Use these drivers, and in the install process, select Professional/Enterprise branding/featureset. The opposite is detailed in my thread about wanting to convert my 6500 XT to PRO W6X00. The Custom Drivers allow using the 'Radeon' or 'Radeon PRO' featuresets interchangeably on compatible hardware.

I happen to have taken a liking to Navi 24 cards. IMHO, They're a perfect match for the Gen4x4 chipset-slot on some boards (or a m.2 M-key Gen4 riser, if adventurous).
More pics and a GPU-z screenshot would be much-appreciated :)
(GPU-Z should let you rip and upload the vBIOS, as well)

Perhaps but it still seems like an unusually flat 6 top to me. Perhaps a better image would suffice? I'm willing to belive theres dark spots of the sticker making it harder to figure out
You could be right. The sticker itself doesn't have the greatest quality of printing. Engineering sample stickers never have been of the greatest quality as they were never intended to be public-facing..

They're the same quality as any other sticker, it's the font choice and size that makes them harder to read with these newer ones. They pack a lot of information into a tiny 13x44mm sticker, so the letters are only 0.5-0.75mm at the largest on some of them.
