if driver version is same, Quadro's nvlddmkm.sys is same as Geforce's

The version of DifferentSLIauto has to match the version of the driver.Hello!)
I hope this theme is still alive
in the yard of 2017, I have Windows 10 and GTX460 + GTX550 Ti
but I have such a problem, tried different versions and looked for answers (sorry if I'm blind and did not see the message)
The latter is exactly what you're supposed to do, according to the install instructions: Rename these example paths within the 'install.cmd' to the actual ones, using a text editor.1) I did notices that the file in which "nvlddmkm.sys" is located is named differently in the Install.cmd
mine is "nv_dispwi.inf_amd64_998aa7ef65f571d1\nvlddmkm.sys" compared to "nv_dispi.inf_amd64_c775b600ccf2cdac\nvlddmkm.sys"
Do I change the file name in the C:\ directory or is there a way I can update in the install.cmd ?

The version of DifferentSLIauto has to match the version of the driver.
1.7.1 matches 385.28, there is no more recent version supported by this project.
Also I'm not sure whether your 460 and 550ti actually can be SLIed, that depends on the bus width of your 460 (must be 192 bit, same as your 550ti).
nVidia in their endless wisdom sold 2 different designs under the same name.
The latter is exactly what you're supposed to do, according to the install instructions: Rename these example paths within the 'install.cmd' to the actual ones, using a text editor.
I am going to test this later tonight, PM your paypal so I can pay out the bounty. Can somebody kindly provide me an win7 driver file of 387.92
Discovered some crap in the os detection mechanism
Win7/8/8.1 users should use version 1.7.1 with 387.92 just fine
Meanwhile Win10 users please use the version attached to this post
I've also included an updated version of Install.cmd
Hi guys.
I found the right path : "nv_disp.inf_amd64_64f40b686fe9309f\nvlddmkm.sys"
But...how...
I'm not English speaking, so I probably didn' undertand the whole procedure.
I need to pus the driver in the same folder as the patch...but how can I take it ?
Do I also need to replace this in the instal CMD ? if so wich line, nothing resemble it...
Thanks again and sorry if this is obvious for you, ^^

So I have made some progress I think. After using a text editor to change the path of the install.cmd it corrected the issue of an unsuccessful file transfer. Which lead me to a new issue, once I reboot and try and enable the graphics cards windows says that they are not certified. I very well could have missed a step but I feel that I am much closer than I was yesterday!

Hi, Jameszzz
both Desktop and Quadro worked on 387.92
but after windows update(1709), i can't execute "DifferentSLIAuto.exe"
Anyway, patched driver worked perfectly
Thanks. MI
I had some of the same issues too. Try opening install.cmd with a text editor and look for the lines containing the following:
call "%SystemRoot%\System32\takeown.exe" /f "%SystemRoot%\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispwi.inf_amd64_998aa7ef65f571d1\%_nvlddmkm%.sys" /a
call "%SystemRoot%\System32\icacls.exe" "%SystemRoot%\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispwi.inf_amd64_998aa7ef65f571d1\%_nvlddmkm%.sys" /grant "%USERNAME%":f
copy "%_nvlddmkm%.sys" "%SystemRoot%\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispwi.inf_amd64_998aa7ef65f571d1\%_nvlddmkm%.sys" /y
replace the nv_dispwi.inf_amd64_998aa7ef65f571d1 with whatever your folder is called and save. I used Notepad++ if you want to give that a try!
Also, you should be able to copy and paste your nvlddmkm.sys file into the folder containing the install.cmd .

I forgot to mention that the linked version for W10 shows up as 1.6.1 it did work for me but only after multiple tries and it's still a bit wonky. Can't open nvidia control panel at all after reboot to enable SLI but SLI does seem to work. Can somebody kindly provide me an win7 driver file of 387.92

Do you follow these instructions?
https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/sli-with-different-cards.158907/page-88#post-3644795
It's still valid except that the respective version numbers are higher now.
The install will not work without using that procedure.
The addendum I did in that post may be needed or not, seems dependent on the system.
