^^Definitely this. A former frequent troublemaker here once had someone on ignore (because he always felt it was “everybody else” and never him) and that person replied to him. I replied to the person he ignored to point out they were wrong and the troublemaker went off on me, because he couldn’t see the ignored person. It took several people to deduce that he attacked me bwcause he thought I made a reply to him when it was actually to his ignored person.Thats more of a block feature, not an ignore feature.
As others said, you kinda need to know they've been quoted or threads you're in would make no sense
