Emu10k1 was a good DSP in its days, but as @Mr.Scott said that Asus board is the king id say.

Thanks for that i will go for it.
I picked up the case today ,there are some screws missing but it looks a good case. :) Heres some photos of it.It has three fans ib it.o_OThe guy got back to me about the free case.I have to go to his house to pick it up i am not sure of that ,i think he lives in a dodge area.I don,t know the exact address yet though.I even got a four leaflet showing me how to put it together. But it is in Chinese o_O It says it has a buzzer but i can,t see it, that is no problem as i have ten of them now.:)

I just got my MSI 85 E45 set up on the box before I put it in a case. I had a bad time getting the cooer I was beginning to think the push-pin ones were better. o_OIn the end, I got there, it is so quiet :)The socket 1155 I built my first PC with, the intel cooler is very noisy o_OWhich to me needs to be cleaned it is really :(I thought I would clean the 775 cooler to my amazement there was no dust in there.o_O I put e3 1246 v3 in the 85 e45 it told me to go to set up because of new hardware. At first, it was stopping, and starting I reseated the ram. all is well.:) Moving on to my Core2
board, I am hoping that is a ram problem it is stopping and starting. With an e7400 I got on eBay.The 85 e45 will be my first complete build, as in the one I have built already everything was on the board I just had to put it in the case. I give up on the Core2 board and stop starting with the fans. :( I am hoping I might have more luck with the Pentium board there was no stop-starting like on the Core2 board. The new build that heatsink fan is a lot better than the Intel one. it is very quiet. :)

Yes it is a very good case in excellent condition. :) I see that the make is highly regarded .and look really good to, with them being all Aluminium.:)And a bargin to at £15.:)

In the photo i show a connecter with three Molex connecters from two of the Fans on the case do i need to plug them all in.?And why are there three molex connecters for two fans? There is also an 8 pin connecter and a tiny 2 pin all these come of the molex cobecter you see in the photo, where do i connect them?,The front fan has its own 3 pin .I have the four page manual that came with it but it does not mention anything about those connecters.I can,t put anything in there tell i find out where they connect to. o_OWhat do you call this 3 molex connecter for two fans? And the 8pin and two connecters ,connected together? o_O

Im not 100% sure but it seems that you might have a PSU cable there, cant tell from the photos as its all connected.
Maybe unplug it all and cross reference what you have with an image search.

The 6-pin connecter looks like it and the rest of the cable.
There are two wires coming from the two front fans t going to whatever it is. I am hoping that 68olds can help me with whatever it is as he has a Lian case , although his case is a lot older. It looks like they have to be used with whatever that connecter is. :(It is a shame the front fans don't have normal connectors so I could connect them to the motherboard in the normal way. What would happen if I just connected the two Molex connectors to the PSU?There is no 2 pin on the case.
1677713407029.png

Here,s another photo I see that the tiny 2-pin connects to a fan like the two in the photo the 6-pin one is EB57.? I looked at my board and was hoping I had three fan headers if I did I would take that connecter off. Why is the third fan not connected to that connecter? Where would I connect the EB57 to? I have looked EB57 and have not come up with what it does.

As i said it is a lot easier to check what you have if you disconnect it all and look it all up via the web, here you go !

1677771972880.png

the other connectors are just 2 pin fan connectors from the molex pass through i think, again difficult to tell as its blurry and still all connected.

Hope that helps :)

Yes it does thanks Hugis. :) I looked it up and see i only need this below.I don,t know why the person got that connecter rather than the simple one i have just bought .Plus the fact my one must be a lot cheaper. :)

I jusr took the heatsink fan out of my firrst PC build because it is very noisey. I was thinking the fan was bunged up with dust..But i was astonished to find there was no dusty in it.o_OI hope my seconed build will be a lot quiter, and with the new fan tried before i put it in a case i am very hopeful.it is a nice cooler.:)

To Lex and anyone who uses eBay, they are asking for me to give them feedback on items that were canceled by the seller. How can I give feedback on something the seller has canceled?

I have wanted a Sapphire motherboard for a long time since I'm a huge fan of the company.

Found a Sapphire Pure Platinum A75 FM1 motherboard and bought it.

Sadly things haven't gone to plan. This board is in way worse shape than what I thought. I firstly gave it a good alcohol scrub and dusting, as well as a pch repaste.

The board was pretty reluctant to work and I discovered the board was having some issues with recognizing memory. It would only boot with ram in some slots. If I put every slot full, the bios could see every stick but half of it wasn't accessable and windows shows it as hardware reserved. It also had some issues working with a hd5450 I was trying it with.

Sadly Sapphire refuses to acknowledge they made motherboards and there is no product page, listing, or support whatsoever for these boards on their website. I was able to get a newer bios elsewhere on the web and flash it through dos since early bios versions on this board lack a built in flasher. This fixed the GPU compatibility, but not the memory.

And that's when I took a closer look. There are a bunch of components knocked off beneath the CPU socket, and several of the traces to the memory slots are completely severed. I did talk to the seller and get a refund for this, but it's a shame because these are far too small for me to be able to repair with my abilities.
20230303_173944.jpg
20230303_180022.jpg

I also see damage to the USB 3.0 connector on the motherboard.

The board does work well enough to boot to windows and function, but it just is single channel only and only some ram slots work.

I may try to find someone qualified to repair the damaged traces on this motherboard. I know my skill level enough that if I tried to repair this I'd most likely ruin it and make it worse than it already is.

I just don't want to spend $100 for someone to fix a $30 motherboard.

Likely the missing mlccs should be fine, although it could impact stability. I might solder the one that is half on, but otherwise I think that's ok. The traces are a different story.

That's the Compact Flash connector, isn't it? Don't you already have a CF to IDE adapter that you could use? I seem to remember you playing with one of those as an OS drive.

I got back to the seller and gave him and gave him a choice either he send me the right one or give me a refund of £5 although the cheapest on eBay is £8.35 i .Or i given him a negative feedback, or last resort sending it back to him.He chose to give me the £5.The wrong one he sent me i did i mod job on it as you can see in the photo. If i had the tools could have done a better job.

like standard internal USB 3.0 header to me...
It dose look like it but i only have one on my board.:(

Looks like the damage (mostly) avoided the serpentines, this could be an easy fix with a trace pen. It's such a small break in the traces that I wouldn't be too worried about material spec differences. As for the SMDs I'd guess they're mostly decouplers, so other than a little flutter in power across the circuit it's decoupling from there shouldn't be any reason the board can't work fine without them. I mean unless you're dealing with instability at super high switching frequencies, but on FM1 that seems extremely unlikely.

I dunno, it still looks like the Compact Flash connector coming from the CF Slot on that 5.25 accessory panel.

Sadly Sapphire refuses to acknowledge they made motherboards and there is no product page, listing, or support whatsoever for these boards on their website.
If you need specific files, DM me and I'll look through my archives.

There are a bunch of components knocked off beneath the CPU socket, and several of the traces to the memory slots are completely severed.
I also see damage to the USB 3.0 connector on the motherboard.
The USB3 Connector is the easiest to fix, the traces will be more difficult but are still doable if you have at least some experience with it.

I don't have a macro of the socket backside at hand, but could take one if you need a reference. Edit, just blown up crop:
