I am from the UK.I am sure you do but the postage would cost a arm and leg from the US to the UK.Am i right for assuming you are from the US? o_O

For 10 quid I take it. I like to have those RAM, odds one of the sets still works. Worse come to worse, the heatsink fan is the one that could be used. But I think all of them were fine

That was my felling to just for the ram and the heatsink worth £10.I have some fans anyway.I will get in touch with the guy.If it works i will get it.there is a i5 in there but i have a better one for it x3450.I got in touch with the guy ,i asked if he had the back plate he said he did,I said to him i don,t suppose you have the back plate as you would have said it in the advert advert..The guys polish i think i have only bought something on Gumtree from one english guy. They have all been nice people though. from all over :)He said it was working last time he used it 2 years ago ,there is no saying it works now of course.

I'm surprised how well the S3 manages to play most of these games, honestly.

I waited 40 minutes for him and he never turned up i have never had that before  He did not give me his number i asked for it.I told him i don,t want it after that.Ge said he was there he did not tell me what he looked like. Apparently he was there but got involved with a old chap who was having problems he said he thought the old boy had dementia which is what i thought. As i was standing next to them i did not think of asking the guy who was helping the old boy if he was the one selling the board. And he was to wrapped up helping the old boy.

Damn, I threw one out and cables not long ago, brand new and in bags still.
I had them for a project that never eventuated that involved a drive cage with back plane and four drives in it.

I finally got an AM3 mATX board. Not a high-end one, but if that works, I finally can have a mATX Phenom II rig. :rockout:

edit: Also got some other stuff. Didn't even remember that BGA SDR SDRAM does exist as there was a 512MB PC133 SODIMM in the box. Last time I've seen BGA SDR was like 20 years ago

BITD, SCSI320 was excellent! It was great for Windows9X! 9GB 10kRPM IBM Goodness was just speedy!
Did SAS (Serial attached SCSI) ever became as popular thing as the older SCSI in workstations/servers/etc?

I remember that normal SATA was much more widespread?

SAS never caught on in the consumer sector like SCSI did. SATA was fast enough for everyone's needs.
I mean also in the business sector, I know that SAS controllers and drives exist but I guess that SATA was fine for most cases (pun intended as well)

Time capsule, work in progress. Though not perfectly accurate, I had a Phenom II X4 965BE, GTX 470 & 16GB 11 years ago, now there's 955BE, GTX 570 & 12GB.

Now this is CRAP. Probably some incompatibility or something but that GTX 570 doesn't want to co-operate. Luckily I have a GTX 660 which seem to be pretty much identical what it comes to performance. Just running Superposition and finding the max OC for the videocard. Then it's time to find the max stable OC for the CPU with that stock cooler. :)

Weird. A 570 should work no issues..

Luckily I have a GTX 660 which seem to be pretty much identical what it comes to performance.
It runs at a lower wattage and makes less heat. So there are those benefits.

Some GT 640 overclocking as I'm testing the Z170 platform again, so far no problems but I'll test this for few days before putting the parts back to the case.

Seems to overclock pretty fine and I haven't even raised its voltage yet, +180 on the core and Superposition ran without problems. Let's try some more. The card is an Asus GT640-2GD3 (yeah, DDR3... damn)

I had a small spill of water when putting a loop on it so I've had some problems with it after that. Later I washed it and let it dry for days, I hope that it did help.

edit: Now running Unigine Valley. Even with that tiny old 7600 GS's cooler, the card reaches max 72C even when overclocked (1161/971) and overvolted (+50mV).

edit 2: you know that the board is dope when it says TPU on it. ;)
