7zip, you can check which one you got in Control panel -> Programs. Similar version for 32bit Windows can be found here: https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
Probably ver 9 or 16 would work on your computer with WindowsME/2000.
Does your Windows Update work, or you are not online? Did you install all the latest updates to system(s)?

For motherboard manual, 1st thing is to find out which motherboard you have. All motherboards (especially old ones) have big letters on them about the producer & the version of the motherboard. So find out which you have, then you can get more stuff like:
- BIOS updates, for other CPUs & RAM
- manuals for which RAM to use
etc.
