7zip, you can check which one you got in Control panel -> Programs. Similar version for 32bit Windows can be found here: https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
Probably ver 9 or 16 would work on your computer with WindowsME/2000.

Does your Windows Update work, or you are not online? Did you install all the latest updates to system(s)?
If not, here is a link to Microsoft Update Catalog: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/home.aspx

For motherboard manual, 1st thing is to find out which motherboard you have. All motherboards (especially old ones) have big letters on them about the producer & the version of the motherboard. So find out which you have, then you can get more stuff like:
- BIOS updates, for other CPUs & RAM
- manuals for which RAM to use
etc.

I got the the 7zip 920 when i tried to install it they said it has to be formatted that was on 2000o_O, it was ok on ME which
i got both 3dmark99 and 2000 mark.On 2000 it kept telling me to get Directx 6.1.i got 6.1 but it still would not work.Funny you mention Win update it did work one time but could not get the other stuff to work so wiped that and tried again but thous times i never got 7zip on there, but that is on there now i put it on a flash drive.I can get on line but K-Meleon browser is to modern for me AMD SLOT board.:( DFI AK70 and the other one i have is ms 6167 which has isa slots which came in a Time PC which i understand was a big name in 90,s that also came with the
Voodoo 3 card for just £10 :)The DFI AK70 the one i have been working on cost £3.I am glad it came with one stick of ram.Is there a browser that would work with both of thous boards?o_OI all ways thought that was the oldest browser to work on old boards. Thanks for the link but its not going to work with a old Microsoft browser.:( Thanks for your advice.:)

Why would Win 2000 tell me to format a floppy disc that had 7zip on it ? o_OIt told me to put a disc in there o_O
It did not say that on ME.o_O

Does anyone know where i can get the drivers for

Geforce FX 5200 if so can you give me a link. :)

Thanks for that Apocalypsee. :)
No problemo! Hope you get your PC sorted.

Seems like my early Pentium 4 PC unable to detect any sort of USB drive I plug to it. Need to do the old fashioned way, CD and floppy which I don't have neither. I just put it aside till I got time for it. For the time being I should enjoy playing on my other retro PC, which the main reason I build one in the first place

I didn't think they had native USB support built in back then, you need to install drivers for them.

Thanks once again for your help. Apocalypsee. :)

I put Directx 8 on here but 3dmark 99 is saying put 6.1 on here. 3dmark 2000 is saying a 3dmark requires a direct x7 compatable 3d accelerator.

I think the installer of that is corrupted, it shouldn't give that error. Redownload it, preferably from Futuremark websites below

Futuremark Legacy Benchmarks - Benchmarks by UL Solutions
Thats where i got it o_O Does it look ok all the stuff in the folder 99? but only two for 2000.Thats odd it is now saying all Directx
features are NOT AVAILABLE ? o_O It only said Direct3d acceleration was not available before.o_OTest direct draw and direct 3d tests work.:)Thats weird Direct draw and AGP are enabled now.All the tests work on test direct 3d to but it is greyed out?Now enabled but not Direct x3d which is still greyed out.Only one test on on direct 3d the big coloured dice.

Because the installer won't give 16-bit error like that, and next to the file is like it having some weird unknown extension of the same name as your3dmark installer, you sure you download it correctly? All the other installer have that, even your graphics driver.

That OS is way too old, I would suggest you get it off the web and use other modern PC tor download it. Then transfer to USB stick over to the old PC

I Was not going to use the browser for downloading .That is what i have been trying to do Is that the right way to do it compressing them to a zip?On Win 11.I am putting ME on another SSD and see what happens there.I am using the fx5200 i have got the driver for Me 5x.If this does not work i will put XP on there i know that works. And use my two Atlon slot 1 boards 98SE. Me and 2000 i know they work with ME and 2000 ,i haven,t got round to trying to get 98se on any board yet.I know that will be a chore to do.3DMARK 99 and 2000 both working on ME with the Geforce Fx 5200 No good on 2000 i will give it a miss on this board. Lex,s fav os wins the day for me .i think i will get it on my £1 PC now that i have got double the ram in there.:)

Just realized that I have a hot air gun now so I could try reviving some dead GPUs from my collection. Nothing to lose if reviving those isn't a success.

Get yourself a liquid flux pen. If you try reheating without injecting flux under the chip, the solder balls between the chip and the PCB will just oxidize and get nasty. The flux keeps solder from oxidizing and keeps the surface tension high to optimize the "reflowing" and "reballing" effect. Trust me on this.

Naah, not gonna spend even a single cent for those, if those doesn't revive, then they don't. I'll just check for few videos about hot air gunning those.

The oven method worked back in the day for my HD 2600 XT but hot air gun is a better solution AFAIK?

Mike is Back!! We missed you brother!
Fun stuff too!
I really like that first case. Would totally fix it up and pimp it out.

BTW, missed responding to this. Don't do that! Get some flux and use it, it's not expensive. It's really easy, only takes an extra minute or two and those old cards deserve just a bit of extra effort/love.

Is it normal that 3770K runs hot like hell even after delidding?

Mike has great humour when he talks about computers :D and yeah, I might get flux if that's recommended.

Maybe. Silicon Lottery can be a thing. However, I'd take a closer look at heatsink contact to the top of the die, make sure it's snugly touching the die.
Contact's been fine, runs hot with both Corsair H70 and Arctic Freezer 50, I know that Ivy runs way hotter than Sandy but damn.

Picked up a couple of fun cards in the last few weeks for the collection, and something special on the way too!

Nvidia GeForce 6800GT 256M - luckily rev 1.02 as 1.00 and 1.01 apparently had terrible VRAM heatsinks that were prone to falling off! I wonder if she oc's to 6800U levels.

NVidia Quadro 6000 6G - seems to be a spec mixture of the GTX470 and GTX480, 448 cores but the full 384-bit bus and large VRAM buffer, will be interesting to see if the VRAM helps it hold up against newer titles.
